So @jviide, who is a wizard, rewrote Signals' reactivity implementation and it's now absurdly fast, and effectively memory-stable.

Why signals and not hooks? I didn’t really get the “why” from the readme but I’m curious to learn more!

Hooks always re-render your component, both to "reflow" data (useState() -> useEffect() -> useMemo()) _and_ to update the UI (JSX). Signals do fine-grained updates, often without re-rendering any components. They're also "lazy" - things only update when+where they're used.

Wow! I was just tinkering with signals and had wanted a cleanup function for effects. Y'all must have been reading my mind.
