What a weekend, thanks again everyone for participating! we're having so much fun reading your approaches to making the little men solve our challenges. Please do writeups! 馃檹 #ICFPC2026
That's it! The ICFP 2026 Programming Contest has come to an end. We'll be working on writeup(s) about running the contest; we hope teams do their own writeups! We will link team writeups from the site. We're also planning to keep the little men around somehow :)

Can automating an MMO teach us about multi-agent systems? On October 14th, @maxbittker will present RuneScape Bench: MMOs for Agents. RS-sdk is a 2026 project to turn an open source implementation聽of the game, LostCity, into a testbed for new experiments. Its results have implications in many areas: design libraries for coding agents, evals, LLM post-training, game design, simulated economics, and even the future of multi-agent systems, when agents are tasked with trading and trusting one another in a shared world. Based on what we've been seeing internally at Svix, we've decided to unilaterally pace the frontier. We are going to stop at 99.99999% of uptime, and hope everyone is going to join us in doing so.

jev-first-search found a path 64% of the time, use jev-first-search if you are price sensitive, otherwise use jev* if you want higher confidence levels in your search tooling

one of the nice things about coding in C is that you can assume if it compiles, it's incorrect

Kris and @DennisSmolek went on stage at @threejsconf to talk about pmndrs, our journey to R3F v10 and the cool new initiatives we have coming up. My good friend @KennyPirman even did us a favor by recording the talk. The slides were made with R3F v10, Koota, Glyph and Math.
