Without a clear vision AI creates great tech demos This is most noticeable in games You can one shot an impressive game engine in an afternoon. But is it actually fun to play? Yes, it might be fun for *you*. But that's because you're the one creating it. It's like building something from Lego. The fun is the creative part. The end result is a byproduct. But you give that same Lego creation to someone else and they're going to say "yeah, that looks pretty cool" they may even ask how you built it You need to really sit with your building process. Work out what makes it fun, what makes it good, you need to keep iterating with a goal. A vision. Not just tinkering for the sake of tinkering

Now $600MRR and still growing This app is now on autopilot. I haven’t made any changes to the app itself or the marketing strategy in over a month And it’s replicable Making a video on exactly what I did Stay tuned 👀
Just reached $500 MRR In the middle of a week long digital detox. But just had to share the latest update 🎉

Receipts And actually, I find myself reaching less for my phone now Recommended
I went a whole week without my phone Relied only on my Apple Watch Ultra 4 First thing I noticed is how much I reached for the phone as a distraction or because I was even slightly bored. I never realised how much my brain looks for distractions so it doesn’t need to deal with its own thoughts

You start to become aware of how much everyone else is looking at their phones. Everywhere. The worst place is playgrounds. Parents locked into their phone and their kid runs up pulls on their leg or arm. Gets no response and runs off. Parent unaware they just rejected their kid. And the instant realisation: “oh no! That’s me!” The phone has become so embedded into life Drive a car? No podcast, no navigation Go to shop? Cant pay Realised something important though: Apple is going the wrong direction The iPhone Duo is what a focus group would want when asked “what do you want from your iphone?” Bigger screen More screens! But Steve jobs I think would have looked at today’s world and perhaps realised people want less screens The Apple watch is the perfect answer… but it falls short watchOS 27 is buggy Siri works sometimes not others And worse: you need your phone present to use it. Even when you set reminders and calendar events. But watchOS 26 worked more freely without the phone present Apple seem to be looking at the watch as an extension of the phone. Not an escape from it.

This company now seems to be attempting to intimidate me into not working with authorities Can’t make this up
All it took was pressure from the media and 4 years of waiting to get this fixed by the company I went out of my way to find the CEO contact details. Followed up multiple times. Tried everything I possibly could to get this attended to. Glad it's fixed now. But man... it shouldn't be that hard

I've created so many videos on the topic that it's hard to remember which ones have the best learnings But luckily for us @xyassini made a great playlist: piped.video/watch?v=zNz6jxbD…
Which video of legend Adam helps you to find the gap?

A good start for organic reach! Shows that there are still gaps. Just gotta find it
Used @adamlyttleapps way of finding gaps in the app store, and testing ASO only strategy. 2 days, 11 downloads for my Chess timer app, very happy so far and ill be adjusting weekly!

Today I saved thousands of vulnerable people from having their personal data leaked online. Names, addresses, you name it. And they will never know it Feels good man

Australia has a massive cyber security problem I discovered vulnerabilities on NDIS service provider websites. Which leaks personally identifiable information about patients, employeers, suppliers, their addresses, first and last name, etc I reported the vulnerability to the NDIS provider in Feb 2022, March 2022, June 2022. I reported the vulnerability to Australian Signals Directorate's ACSC in 2022. I reported the vulnerability to to Cyber.gov.au followed all the correct procedures I checked the URL today and guess what? It's still leaking personal data: 4 years later. The vulnerability is still live. You can still see peoples personally identifiable information from a misformed URL. It's publicly available. To anyone right now. I have seen many such cases. But this is the most egregious.

Organic reach from ASO alone is mostly dead. Particularly for new consumer/utility apps The playbook doesn’t work: It’s more difficult than ever to rank The best way is to increase your surface level (more apps built) But more apps = more spammy More spammy = bad standing with Apple So the answer is to focus on product. Not features. Find an idea that works, that resonates and build that. Try new things. Research. Build. Put your heart into it. For me that looks like web apps. Specifically games and educational. I Test ideas. See if anything has potential. And then I’ll double down on what works. But for consumer apps. I think that boat has sailed.

Had someone out front of my house taking photos today He was driving a Lexus A 60 year old looking guy Shorts and polo shirt like he’s off for a walk He parked in the middle of the road Hopped out and started taking photos with his phone I was out front with the kids and just watched him. When he saw me I waved… like yeah dude what you want He hopped into his car and drove off I took the kids out and he was parked around the corner from my house Am I being paranoid or would this tweet get me added on some sort of watch list now?

100% this 👇
shocked so many people are falling for the government’s line that an OpenAI model “hacked” Medicare. I’ve worked in government IT, I’ve literally reported serious vulnerabilities and been shrugged at. I am 99.99% certain the model probably just stumbled across unprotected files.

This is why I had to take a step back from everything I thought in a post-app world my path forward was to become a thought leader on the latest frontier models But it’s taken a personal toll (And it just doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon) I lost sight of why I was doing what I do. And on reflection I used to use technology as an expression of my creativity, as art. It was enjoyable, fun and relaxing. Now I’m stressed all the time (I don’t know why), I’m not sleeping, I’m always thinking about what the agents are doing and always prepping the next step of agents. But this past week I focused just on family and a small personal project I’m working on And it’s been really nice.
The gap between major model releases keeps shrinking. 2023: once every 73 days 2026 (so far): once every 18 days 🤯
