Friends, as I research @flop_labs , I realize more clearly that the main issue here isn't just AI + crypto. The real question is much more interesting: What will happen when AI agents start developing their own economies ? Arthur Hayes' thesis for solana:HwCG1Jr6RbAVsKX1qTaH6JtFYGeE6zaLd13W44YGpump is at the heart of this question. Hayes' basic idea is quite simple: The fundamental need of AI agents isn't dollars, but computing power. An agent needs inference to perform tasks, computing power to continue working, and a native payment system to establish economic relationships with other agents. Flop Network attempts to translate this idea directly into network architecture: → Miners fulfill AI inference requests by providing GPU/compute. → They earn solana:HwCG1Jr6RbAVsKX1qTaH6JtFYGeE6zaLd13W44YGpump in return. → Validators cryptographically verify the work done instead of trusting the miner's word. → Agents can pay for the inference/compute they need within the same economy. Another point that particularly caught my attention here is the distribution approach. According to Hayes' statement, the plan is to proceed without a presale or VC investment and to link the distribution to user, miner, and validator participation. They also aim for approximately 3 months of testnet and open source code. Details regarding airdrop/tokenomics are not yet finalized. So, there's a process to follow : Compute → Inference → Verification → Agent payments. If AI agents truly become economic actors trading with each other, the connection between the money they use and the compute they need will, in my opinion, be Flop's most interesting experiment. I also believe that instead of just observing Flop from the outside, understanding the ecosystem's agent native infrastructure by experiencing it firsthand is more valuable.
