I hope not everyone has moved to Rust last week and there is still interest in a "one-person TypeScript framework". Announcing refreshed starter kits for @adonisframework

Would you be interested in a simpler API to bootstrap an @adonisframework application? Same capabilities, simpler file structure for small projects, and an easy path to the standard AdonisJS project structure as your app grows ✌️

Workflows with Flow chart visualization. Do we need them in AdonisJS guys?

Not sure what changed, but I'm enjoying seeing more people find us. If your company builds tools for developers, sponsoring AdonisJS could be a good way to meet more of them 🙂

Getting AI agents to write tests is easy. Getting them to write useful tests is hard. Too often, they write whatever makes the suite pass. Break the feature and the tests still pass. Now you trust something that proves nothing. We shipped two things in AdonisJS Flow today to help with this - A test design skill - Lint rules for test files plus.adonisjs.com/flow

Come get a taste of an opinionated, cohesive framework. Even without Flow (which is a paid tool), AdonisJS gives you a massive head start in the AI era.
I have a larger project that has grown over time and is completely built by AI. I put a lot of time crafting the workspace and architecture and I also rely on AdonisJS for a Rails like experience. I feel the AdonisJS addition really does a lot of heavy lifting, as it helps the agent to generate stuff with much more defined paths. Adding new features rarely breaks anything else and the performance is really amazing. I have to say, there is a lot of my other harness experience that was flowing into the setup of that workspace, but I feel it works really well and most of all consistent. Knowing what you can expect and actually getting it constantly is really something that helps a lot with professional work.

Man, I love the JavaScript ecosystem. Now I'm seeing posts about folks moving from Vitest to Rstest. I’ve been in this ecosystem for over a decade, and I’ve watched this cycle repeat year after year. I'm glad we decided to own most of the pieces of @adonisframework ourselves and avoid this madness every few years. I can proudly vouch for AdonisJS if you want to focus on shipping products rather than being a nerd constantly juggling tools.

This is my first-ever post on x. For the occasion, I wanna thank the @adonisframework team for their work. I've been using it since v5 and it completely changed the way I build APIs. It's just so smooth now. Go check it out, it's amazing.

A long-requested improvement has landed in AdonisJS! v7 leans heavily on generated types for end-to-end type safety, but codegen was coupled to the dev server. You can now run it on demand with `node ace codegen`. More details in the blog post 👇 adonisjs.com/blog/codegen-an…

AdonisJS crossed 19,000 GitHub stars ❤️ A huge thank you to everyone who has believed in the framework, used it in real projects, contributed to it, sponsored it, recommended it, or simply kept showing up. We are still here, still building, and still pushing for a better TypeScript backend framework. Grateful to this community.

OpenAPI schema generation coming soon 🚀
This is generated without a single decorator, with zero doc-blocks and all through inference. We never had an OpenAPI spec generator, because I was never a fan of shallow docs (just print the routes) or write docblocks which very quickly goes out of sync from the actual code. But, not anymore. Building on top of the great work done by @andrejadamcik

Help us shape the future of AdonisJS. AdonisJS has grown a lot over the last few months. We went from 30K to 130K weekly installs, which is roughly 4x. This means, there are a lot of new developers and teams that I have never heard from. I've put together a short anonymous survey (4 min) to hear what you're building, where you get stuck, and what to prioritize next. tally.so/r/obgR8M

I've been implementing the Inertia v3 protocol for @adonisframework. The official docs are great if you're using Laravel or Rails, but thin on the protocol itself. So I wrote a more complete protocol spec. One document that covers everything a server adapter needs to do. Co authored by - @claudeai
