A high-level Central team has arrived in Bengaluru to assess the drought situation in Karnataka.
Led by Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ajit Kumar Sahu, the team will tour the drought-affected regions till October 6th.
Divided into three teams, they will visit Tumkuru, Chitradurga, Davangere, Ballari, Mysuru, Chamrajanagara, Mandya, Yadgir, Raichur, Bagalkote and Koppal to assess the crop loss and the distress faced by the farmers in the drought-affected regions.
