I've been reflecting on why @threejsconf felt so special... ​Leaving aside my obvious bias, I think it comes down to this: it happened organically. It grew out of the community, rather than being imposed onto it. 🧵

it's hard to describe @threejsconf: amazing talks, perfect organisation by @makio64 team, @mrdoob "manipulating" speaker slides from control room 🤌. I've been to a lot of events, this one has soul. But above it all, gathering of soo many nice people. Most of them meeting each other for the first time in person. I cant even tag everybody i met! And describe how good it all felt! I'm flabbergasted. I loved all the interactions and talks. And online just doesnt cut it, we all need to meet. Thank you @threejsconf, and... when? =P
