Can someone please explain this to me… why does finishing Attack on Titan leave such a massive void? I finished it recently and couldn’t stop thinking about it afterward. Is it Eren’s death, what happened between Eren and Mikasa, or just the feeling of saying goodbye to the whole story? What do you think causes that empty feeling after finishing AoT?

THIS IS WHY I DON’T REALLY BLAME BRYAN FOR BREAKING INTO THE LAB. By this point, he isn’t thinking like a normal person anymore. He’s infected, he’s terrified, he’s running out of time, and he knows the only people who might be able to save him are inside that lab. So when that elevator starts closing, of course he’s going to stop it. What was he supposed to do? Just stand there and accept that his only chance at survival was disappearing in front of him? Bryan wasn’t trying to steal anything. He wasn’t looking for a fight. He wasn’t some random intruder who wandered into a restricted facility because he was curious. HE WAS TRYING TO FIND THE ANTIDOTE BEFORE HIS BODY GAVE OUT. And honestly, that’s what makes the scene so tragic. From the scientists’ perspective, an infected person forcing his way into their lab is an enormous security threat. But from Bryan’s perspective, those doors represent the difference between living and dying. That’s why I think the blame is more complicated. Bryan was desperate. The scientists were protecting the cure. And Umbrella created the situation where those two things were inevitably going to collide. He wasn’t breaking into the lab because he wanted to cause chaos. He was breaking in because he finally realized nobody was coming to save him. #ResidentEvil

I THINK BRYAN WAS LITERALLY TRYING TO SAVE HIMSELF HERE. By this point, he knows exactly what’s happening to his body. He’s infected, the transformation is getting worse, and the antidote is basically the only thing standing between him and becoming something he can’t control. So when he keeps fighting his way toward it, I don’t think he’s trying to be a hero or stop the outbreak. He just wants to live. And that’s what makes the scene so painful. Bryan has spent the entire movie trying to get that package to the lab because he believes it will save someone. He finally gets there, the scientists create the antidote, and now he’s desperately trying to reach the very thing he delivered. But his body is already starting to fight against him. That’s why his movements feel so desperate. It’s almost like you’re watching two things happening at the same time: Bryan is still consciously trying to reach the cure, while the infection is gradually taking control of his body. And the cruelest part is that he actually gets so close. He isn’t defeated because he gives up. He isn’t killed because he stops trying. He loses the fight because his body runs out of time before he can save himself. The guy who spent the entire movie carrying the cure’s missing component ends up fighting to reach the finished cure himself. Bryan wasn’t trying to save Raccoon City. He was trying to save Bryan. #ResidentEvil

What exactly was Bryan trying to do in this scene? 🤔 Was he desperately trying to inject himself with the antidote, knowing that it might be his last chance to survive? Or was the monster inside him already too strong, taking over his body before he could save himself? 😭💔 The way he keeps fighting to reach the anti virus makes this scene even more heartbreaking. He wasn’t trying to be a hero he was literally fighting for his life. 😭 #ResidentEvil
