A thread 🧵
US spot ETF buyers trade momentum, buying when they are in profit and backing off when underwater.
$BTC just climbed back above what they paid, ~$84,320, after 233 days below.
Their buying has switched back on, and it builds the further price rises.
September hiring nearly stalled at 29k, and the market has priced out an October Fed hike, odds down from 64% to 22% in a week.
That eases pressure on risk assets like $BTC, though core inflation is still sticky at 2.3% and jobs this weak cut both ways.
$BTC is at $84K this weekend.
If you need liquidity, Bitfinex Borrow lets you post BTC as collateral and borrow against it directly.

Bitcoin's rally has had help from coins leaving exchanges, about 39k $BTC on 22-29 September, before flows turned mixed.
More coins leaving while price holds means buyers taking supply off.
Coins moving back on with basis and OI flat would mean sellers are back.
$BTC has rallied from $57,800 in July to the mid-$80,000s and funding on leveraged longs is still below neutral.
In March 2024, funding ran hot near $70,000, then price weakened for months.
Is this rally built differently?
Tokenised securities can trade around the clock. None of that makes them liquid.
An investor still needs a counterparty and a way back to cash. @The_DTCC's new service is built around that.

The Bitfinex Absorption-to-Emission Ratio collapsed from 25.6x on 21 September to 1.8x. Today’s ETF inflows sit at $102.7m.
Getting BAER back to 5x is what breaks $86,500.

Bitcoin sits a third below its record, yet by the MVRV Z-Score it still isn't expensive.
The gauge compares price to what holders paid, and it is back to fair value, far from past tops.
That leaves room to climb, but it takes demand to get there.
