Scott has an income of $55,000 per year. Scott spends $75,000 per year ($10,000 on guns). Scott grows his debt by $20,000 per year. Scott has total debt right now of $400,000. Scott has fixed unfunded liabilities of $1,750,000 and is less than 10 years from retirement. Scott's own employees say that his 130% debt will be 690% by the year 2096. Scott needs to refinance roughly $100,000 in the next 12 months to stay solvent. What is happening now? Scott has a Japanese friend who is his biggest lender (despite being in even more debt) that just told Scott he might need to unwind $110,000 of Scott's debt to the open market. Therefore Scot sent his Japanese friend "$50-$100" this summer to keep him calm and ask him to not dump the debt. The credit card companies Scott borrows from are refusing to give him cheap debt anymore, and are giving him 19 year highs on interest rates. Scott said on August 19th that because nobody is buying his credit card debt that he will "at least double" the rate he is buying back his own credit card debt with new debt he takes out. The credit card companies didn't like that and offered him even higher rates 24 hours later. If Scott goes bankrupt we have WW3, because Scott has been buying lots of guns. Scott would rather dilute Dollars he is borrowing in and watch himself starve than go bankrupt. You can buy 100% of the insurance in the world against Scott's insolvency for $15,700. Scott himself has said publicly that he wants to buy insurance against himself and that people should consider buying it. Scott's friends say they want to back his debt with the insurance against his debt - because the insurance is that cheap and the debt is that bad. This insurance plan's cost to buy went up 30% over the last 3 days. Why? Because people are starting to doubt Scott. Scott is America. The insurance plan is Bitcoin.

On Easter morning, this is what President Trump posted. Everyone in his administration that claims to be a Christian needs to fall on their knees and beg forgiveness from God and stop worshipping the President and intervene in Trump’s madness. I know all of you and him and he has gone insane, and all of you are complicit. I’m not defending Iran but let’s be honest about all of this. The Strait is closed because the US and Israel started the unprovoked war against Iran based on the same nuclear lies they’ve been telling for decades, that any moment Iran would develop a nuclear weapon. You know who has nuclear weapons? Israel. They are more than capable of defending themselves without the US having to fight their wars, kill innocent people and children, and pay for it. Trump threatening to bomb power plants and bridges hurts the Iranian people, the very people Trump claimed he was freeing. On Easter, of all days, we as Christians should be reminded that the son of God died and rose from the grave so that we can be forgiven once and for all of our sins. Jesus commanded us to love one another and forgive one another. Even our enemies. Our President is not a Christian and his words and actions should not be supported by Christians. Christians in the administration should be pursuing peace. Urging the President to make peace. Not escalating war that is hurting people. This NOT what we promised the American people when they overwhelmingly voted in 2024, I know, I was there more than most. This is not making America great again, this is evil.

This is ridiculously true
No culture is safe from nerds in Japan. Any song your people have or dish they make. Japanese autism will seize it and do it ten times better than your ancestors could’ve ever imagined.

Mind officially blown
It is not often I read something that blows my mind, but this did. 🤯 I would highly recommend taking the 5 minutes to read it, and then an additional 5 minutes to pause and reflect to consider all the ways our world is about to radically change. h/t @matthew_pines

Amen to that
Within just 1 hour of drinking a single cup (200 mL) of green tea, we can significantly cut down on the rate of DNA damage in our cells. This is because green tea significantly boosts the activity of a DNA repair enzyme in our body that can fix DNA damage. see.nf/47dqCnJ

Hey @JoinCrowdHealth , I just got a bill for $8352 from Sacramento for not having “proper” health insurance. You were never transparent that this would occur. I’m outraged and profoundly disturbed that you don’t tell your members this will happen.

Welcome!
i replaced coffee with matcha and i’ve never felt better. the science? contains l-theanine, an amino acid that boosts alpha brain waves (aka flow state) has EGCG, a polyphenol that fights inflammation, burns fat, and protects mitochondria lowers LDL cholesterol, stabilizes blood sugar, and supports liver detox gives you sustained energy without spiking adrenaline packed with chlorophyll, which binds to heavy metals and supports cellular repair higher in antioxidants than blueberries, pomegranates, and dark chocolate combined coffee gives you a spike. matcha gives you clarity. it’s not hype. it’s pharmacology. sip accordingly.

It took me a while to fully realize the value of something my company achieved years ago, and continues to savor today. It’s one of our greatest quiet advantages, full stop. It’s not something you hear much about in business circles. In fact, I can’t remember the last time I heard anyone spend much time on the topic, or even bring it up in conversation, on a conference stage, or behind a podcast mic. There is, however, lots of discussion about achievement in business. A company can achieve product market fit, operational efficiency, influence, revenue goals, or, ultimately — and hopefully — profitability. But I’m not taking about those things. Those are the obvious things, the common talking points. And to those you can add the vanity metrics of achievement — social media followers, traffic, views, impressions, open rates, press mentions, gross this or gross that. All those are what they are, but they aren’t where it’s at. What I’m talking about is optionality. Achieving optionality is where it’s at. Optionality is a hearty mix of profit margin, small size, independence, attitude, and freedom. You’ve got to have all of it to have optionality. If a board is calling the shots, you don’t have much optionality. If your margins are thin, or non-existent, you don’t have much optionality. If the public owns a piece, you don’t have much optionality. If you’re too big to change direction quickly, you don’t have much optionality. And if you’re afraid to speak your mind and stake your point of view, you don’t have much optionality. Optionality lets you do things no one would give you permission to do. It lets you write excellent software and give it away for free if you choose. It lets you do things that don’t make sense in the current climate, but will long-term. It lets you be early while eventually catches up. Optionality is ecstasy. It’s making it up as you go, without making excuses. It’s openly changing your mind without having to save face. Optionality is equanimity, the corporate equivalent of enlightenment. So, entrepreneurs, ditch the bullshit. Abandon growth-at-all-costs. Reject conventional metrics. Scorn hollow acceptance. Instead, hunt for optionality. It's freedom. It's power. It's everything you crave, wrapped in a single, potent package. Chase it relentlessly. And when you get it, don’t let go.

I'm 63. Instead of regretting that I can't wake up at age 33 again, I pretend to myself that I'm 93 and I've woken up age 63 again, and that I get to have the next 30 years again. It's magical. The greatest thing about getting older is that you care less and less what people think of you.
