Is OpenWorld one of the missing pieces behind Project Quantum?
The more I look at the timeline, the more the pieces seem to line up.
—
• Abstract signed a joint development and go-to-market agreement with
@_openworld around compliant RWA tokenization.
• OpenWorld just completed its merger and is now trading publicly on Nasdaq as
$OPNW.
• OpenWorld has talked about token listings, regulated digital asset infrastructure, compliance frameworks and RWA tokenization.
•
@LucaNetz has already talked publicly about a new financial instrument that could bridge crypto assets into traditional markets like Nasdaq or NYSE.
—
During one of my calls with the
@AbstractChain team, I was told they had been advised by legal not to talk about certain things publicly on the TL.
At the same time, the CT timeline has been hammering Abstract over team departures, silence and lack of communication.
—
Then overnight, Abstract changed its bio from:
“The blockchain leading the next generation of consumer crypto”
to:
“Bringing the world’s economy onchain by powering consumer apps, financial services, and digital assets for everyone, everywhere.”
That is a much bigger vision than just “consumer crypto.”
—
Now look at how the stack could work:
Real-world asset / crypto protocol
↓
OpenWorld structures the product legally + financially
↓
Regulated/tokenized financial product is created
↓
Abstract provides blockchain + distribution infrastructure
↓
Abstract apps, wallets and users become the consumer layer
↓
Traditional markets and onchain liquidity start connecting
—
That would make Project Quantum a lot more interesting than simply being another token launch.
It could be infrastructure designed to bring crypto-native assets into regulated traditional markets while still keeping the underlying asset connected to the onchain economy.
—
I’m not saying OpenWorld = Project Quantum.
There still isn’t enough public information to make that claim.
But between the OpenWorld partnership, its Nasdaq listing, Luca’s comments, Abstract’s changing language and what I was told about legal restrictions on communication...
I think there could be a much bigger financial infrastructure story being built behind Abstract than the TL currently realizes.
