People ask me how to design posters all the time, and I always end up handing over a few basic tips. Then it hit me that no complete course teaches the thinking behind poster design. Most of them show you few examples in the software. So I made one. It's called The Poster Manual. I taught myself design, and posters taught me the most. This course is everything I learned from making them, written down for beginners and working designers who want to get better. It is text and visuals only, and it works in any software. The best part is I built it a private dashboard. You log in, work through the chapters lesson by lesson, and download the bonus material whenever you need it. The Poster Manual is coming soon.

99.9% of the "incredible concepts" that you see in design, film, games, art, etc, came about as a result of exploring outside of those mediums or across them. Get out of your self-imposed box.

The movie Idiocracy is rapidly genre-swapping from comedy to documentary. First time seeing that.

Please don't do this. Text. It's on every website that is AI vibecoded and it's a tell for low quality slop. Stop using text or you'll be shunned by the design community.
please don't do this. it's called "eyebrow" text and it's the latest vibecode-slop tell. it serves no useful purpose. again, it's this "gesturing" LLMs do and you need to be aware of it. it puts this eyebrow text there because it's a landing page typography trope that bamboozles your brain into thinking "yes this looks like a good and proper landing page!" and you think "the more detail = cleverer model!" but it's dumb. all this design clutter has no actual thought - it's still stochastic parrot without a trained & experienced designer's guidance. the clever but hard thing is reduction. reducing and eliminating. good design is simple. great design is invisible. this eyebrow test is just more unnecessary visual clutter the Opus 5.5 is obsessed with. do not accept the default. take care with your work. every element is unnecessary until proven essential.

Where I’m from we call this “paper towel math”. Where on each pack of paper towels it says some weirdness like 5x rolls = 15 rolls and you’re like “ok, now give it to me in grams, maybe I’ll get it then”.
Hi, Tomorrow we are re-opening the Pro $200 subscriptions to new subscribers, but together with it we are also changing how we calculate the usage for it. In effect, if you do the math, it will net out at half the dollar in API spend compared to the old Pro $200 plan. Now that it's said, let me explain why this is happening and why you will still get more work done than if you were on the Pro $200 subscription one month ago. (a) We didn't want to compromise in other ways and are committing to not reintroducing the 5h limit, so that you can fully use the weekly usage when you want. (b) On the subscription, we guarantee that over time you always get more work done and with an increasing level of quality. This means that you will continue to get more value per dollar spent as a result of models getting more efficient and us passing down the improvements in the form of API price reductions. (c) We don't want to put an incentive on ourselves to artificially inflate the API list prices to make it look like you are getting a lot (and workaround it through discounts, etc). Instead we want to continue to both rapidly reduce prices and increase capabilities of models on the API. This week we introduced GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna at 50% of their previous price. Over time, we see prices go low enough that it makes sense for most to buy usage as needed without there being a significant gap between what you get in a subscription and what you get in the API for a dollar spent. (d) Tomorrow, we are adding more things to the subscription that won't draw on the usage, I won't reveal what that is yet. I wanted to be transparent before all the big announcements tomorrow. Lots of new exciting things are coming to the subscriptions that will make it super compelling, but I wanted to make sure to share this change ahead of time so you can all understand it before we shower you with good news. Codexingly, Tibo

I'm so stuck wanting to roll designs the way I like and maintaining at least some readability and UX. I get why the internet evolved the way it did, but I'm going to find some ways to bring back the old internet I loved.

I was feeling playful this morning so I built this.. A deterministic creative code art factory. This uses my favorite algos/effects and deterministically applies aesthetic ranges based on whatever word is typed in. Fun to play with, I imagine could also be useful for brand work.

Nothing is "cooked" folks. Like all tools before, these are productivity multipliers. Only now, the productivity increase is also within the creative process as well. Good creatives all just become faster, and see more options faster, that's it, it's game as it's always been..

So wait, we’re building all this stuff so the robots become creatives and we become the robots? I’ll pass.

I swear if I have to read "It's not X, it's Y" one more time. One more time Claude, Grok, Codex, Cursor, just one more f'ing time.

Looking for quality and highly ergonomic office chair recommendations under $1000. $500ish would be great. New, not used please. It’s finally time to treat my back right.

It's a shame that after years and years of supporting a single course that Bruno feels like he needs to do this to prevent a disastrous loss of rep. Bruno has given so much to Three.js Journey and its students, please just support him in this.
I’m having a change of heart regarding the TSL update I’m working on for Three.js Journey. Lately, sales are plummeting. Maybe it’s the lack of updates, maybe it’s because of AIs, maybe it’s the competition, that doesn’t really matter. My accountant asked me if I was going to do something about it, and I told her I’m working on a free update. She smiled. As you probably know, these past few months I’ve been putting all my time and energy into new lessons about WebGPU and TSL, and I think it’s the best ones I’ve ever made. I almost finished the writing, which is about half way, and we should have 14 to 15 new lessons for at least 30 hours of videos (likely more). These lessons go way beyond TSL, and we learn many cool tricks, and techniques a lot more advanced than those in the original course. For years I’ve been adding new content for free. We went from a 30-hour long course to a now 93-hour course. Even though I initially wanted the current members to have access to the update for free, I feel like it might be time to move on to a new paid course. I know that wasn’t the initial plan, and I really wanted to provide this as a free update, but it’s becoming really hard to find the motivation to work on these new lessons. Let’s cut to the chase, here’s what I have in mind: - $35 for this course - Discount for the current Three.js Journey members (maybe $20 instead of $35) - At least 30 hours of video (probably more) - All the usual content (text, exercise, access to Discord, etc.) - Right after I’ll start working on updating the original course to accommodate recent Three.js updates - Bonus: I will find a way to add the Snow lesson back. Instead of just figuring out what to do on my own, I thought I should ask the community. So, what do you think? 👇 preview in reply
