Introducing Vercel Labs Tools for devs in the AI era agent-browser, skills, json-render, deepsec, fx, just-bash, portless, vgpu and more We experiment in public: ship early, learn from feedback, and keep working on what people find useful We've been shipping under the Labs name for a while. Now, Labs is an official team at Vercel focused on exploring new capabilities and primitives that change what developers and agents can do. Here's what to expect: → Labs products: maintained, supported, built to be relied on → Active experiments: moves fast, expect rough edges and breaking changes → Past experiments: ideas that become new projects, make it into existing products, or teach us what to build next vercel.com/labs?experiment-i…

scriptc now compiles itself The compiler that turns your TypeScript into native executables can now turn its own TypeScript into a native executable

Made a CLI version with TS + scriptc → 197 KB → 7 ms to first frame → 2.9 MB peak memory
Was wondering where my disk space went. Therefore this exists now. You can simply wish software into existence.

Bullish on open source, open weights, the open web And the open desktop Personal Operating Systems feel like the natural next step after Personal Software I've been building a Debian-based OS for myself that can run across physical machines and cloud environments like Vercel Sandbox I can use and control it with natural language, and I'm designing the UI around a blend of ephemeral and persistent views rather than treating the desktop as a fixed set of apps and windows There's something really special about having control over the UI/UX of the Whole Computer

I've been f--king with JavaScript since '97 I definitely didn't expect it to end up everywhere, especially on the server in any serious capacity But here we are. JS is everywhere. And now it has another advantage: LLMs know it *really* well I love Rust. Tbh I love working with pretty much any language. But there's also something incredibly useful about having an "everything language" across the stack, ecosystem and now AI tooling too I want to see JS/TS keep evolving. I want to see it succeed. And I think part of that means seriously exploring what static JavaScript looks like If you're passionate about this too, come share your ideas, give feedback and report bugs: github.com/vercel-labs/scrip… Let's make production-grade static JS on the server safe, reliable and the right choice for a whole class of workloads
JavaScript was never designed for the server. If that doesn't change soon, JavaScript on the server will be replaced by Rust. The fix needs to happen in the engine. Sound types. Ahead-of-time compilation. Threads with shared objects.

We've been using issue-graph to answer: what should we work on next? It prioritizes work using signals like engagement and time open, surfaces patterns across the backlog and gives software factories a better way to coordinate agent work GitHub today, more providers soon
Introducing issue-graph Find related work before you start ▲ Existing fixes and open follow-ups ▲ Superseded PRs and backlog items to verify ▲ PR review state and conflicts by author ▲ Works with your coding agent

Bring your third-party APIs to localhost emulate now lets you build and share your own emulators Define a provider's behavior in TypeScript Run it alongside Stripe, GitHub and the rest, with seeds, resets, persistence and inspection built in

TypeScript → native, now in parallel scriptc v0.1.4 adds native child_process.fork() + messaging This fractal renders 2.9× faster with four workers, and compiles to one executable No Node.js, no JS engine

New: agent-browser Contact Sheets Agents can now debug UI bugs they couldn't see before Record an interaction → get timestamped frames w/ changes highlighted This signature appears then disappears Instead of having identical before/after screenshots, agents see what happened

There are some really wild things you can do with Jev and agent-browser Example:
thanks to @typesafeai's Jev we now have massively parallel browser-based adversarial testing suite that tries to break each release. and it costs pennies.
