deployment automation is only as safe as the branch protection and failure handling behind it.

yeah, main protected without required reviews is still one bad merge away from prod

Exactly. Production deploys should have a clear path and a clear escape hatch. “It worked on my branch” isn’t a deployment strategy.

the escape hatch is the one I check first, I want a rollback I can trigger in one click before anything deploys on its own
