I've seen statistics on how women are more bullied than others on social media platforms and how women are more likely to leave a platform when bullied compared to men. Women entrepreneurs find it notoriously difficult to raise funds due to lack of access too #hcltechinsights
A big shoutout to everyone on our panel. Join the conversation using #HCLTechInsights. Here’s our fourth question. #Tweetchat  #ShePowersProgress Q4. Have you experienced or witnessed a direct impact of digital gender divide? How can women navigate such situations?

I've taken a stand not to look at CVs when hiring. Always, always talk to the person to understand if they are passionate about the role. Also, some people are just not good at writing a CV and that's perfectly fine! #hcltechinsights
We must fix the bias in hiring. CVS are the worst predictor of talent/ success #hcltechinsights @CIOStraightTalk

Giving them access to a cheaper, faster and more powerful voice - the internet! #hcltechinsights
Assuming these barriers are not going away any time soon, how can we better prepare women to speak up and shine in such situations? #HCLTechInsights #ShePowersProgress @JolaBurnett, @devie_mohan, @JaneFrankland, @heathriel, @aoifeannwalsh, @afigueiredo, @dhinchcliffe

Absolutely, a digital gender divide exists. Men are more likely by 21% to access the internet (and 52% in developing countries). There are wonderful programmes that have helped reduce this - Code First Girls, UN/WEF initiatives. We just have to keep on working! #hcltechinsights
Join the conversation using#HCLTechInsights. Here’s our second question. #Tweetchat  Q2. Growing inequalities in the context of digital skills and access to technologies are creating a digital gender divide. How do you think we can minimize the impact? #ShePowersProgress

It's not even about recruitment, it's about training and skills development from very early ages. Helping girls pick the right subjects for a career in tech is as important as making conscious choices while recruiting #hcltechinsights
Do you think enough is done to help women get into the tech industry? If not, what would you recommend?

Active elimination of discrimination by the leadership team is so important! Yet doesn't get talked about as part of corporate governance enough.
A1: The most significant barrier to female leadership in tech is systemic bias and discrimination. We need to actively work to eliminate gender-based stereotypes and create more equitable opportunities for women in the industry. #WomenInTech #HCLTechInsights @CIOStraightTalk

A significant lack of female role models. We tend to have very little female representation in tech as well as fintech (though it's changing rapidly) and the lack of representation on boards and leadership teams is a major barrier #hcltechinsights
