The only way to keep your system maintainable is to keep it as simple a possible. The biggest enemy of simplicity is coupling. A lot of it is accidental coupling that surprises you when you want to add to or change the system. There is no better way to keep coupling to a minimum than by using multiple models so all data doesn't need to be shared if absolutely not needed - we found out that DRY has a very large cost no one likes to talk about. But these models must still be consistent. The best way to keep multiple models consistent is through an immutable ledger that tracks all changes and this is the one place to look for to sync things up. The ultimate answer is #EventSourcing. And the best way to document, track and maintain an event sourced systems is by using #EventModeling. I'm willing to help anyone who wants to move forward with a better way of working if this is in your plans. This happens to be the most natural way to talk about systems for both humans and AI. It lets you stay focused on business facts and use timelines, stories and other temporal concepts that prove to be the best communication medium for system concepts.

I must say that recently using @jetbrains #Junie with #Gemini as the default has been producing excellent results at speed and much more cost effective than Claude. It does great work with Kotlin, Java, Go, Typescript, Angular and anything to do with YAML and Kubernetes.

Sunday’s game will be 🔥
Yes, those photos you’ve seen are real.
More than 18 years ago, a baby named Lamine Yamal and his mom Sheila met Lionel Messi at a UNICEF fundraising photoshoot.
Today, their achievements on the pitch inspire millions. Off the pitch, both Messi and Lamine Yamal use their voices and platforms as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors to support and advocate for children around the world.
The goal? That every child survives, thrives, and fulfils their potential.
We are proud to have them on our team.

How not to love this game 😭😭😭😭
For the second time in the last four days, Argentina’s hopes to repeat as World Cup champions were hanging by a thread.
And for the second time in four days, they were rescued by the greatest player in the history of the game. ⚽️ on.wsj.com/3RryTlb
