Der deutsche Außenminister Johann Wadefuhl rief dazu auf, den Druck auf Russland zu erhöhen, um den Export ukrainischen Getreides über das Schwarze Meer wiederherzustellen. Dies erklärte er nach Gesprächen im Vatikan, wie dpa berichtet.
«Die Zeit ist knapp, der Hunger rückt leider näher», — betonte der Minister. Nach seinen Worten kann das Getreide verderben, was eine weitere Katastrophe bedeuten würde.
Wadefuhl rief Europa dazu auf, dieses Thema aktiver anzusprechen, und die Länder des Globalen Südens — ihre Interessen klarer zu vertreten.
