Reactivity vs the polling loop. Same job on 8 EVM chains, a contract reacts to an on-chain event. Only @Somnia_Network did it with no keeper. Two facts never moved: - on Somnia the reaction runs in the trigger's own block, one transaction, nothing watching - the other seven need an off-chain keeper and a second transaction the chain can't react on its own. The honest number is overhead after the trigger is mined: - zero on Somnia because the reaction is in the same block, - a real second transaction everywhere else. A faster keeper doesn't close it. Meet @emreyeth, DevRel Intern at Somnia. Computer Engineering student in Turkey, heading into his final year. Been focused on blockchain since day one at university. The entry point was a 9GAG NFT raffle: setting up a wallet, transferring funds, signing transactions just to enter. Enough friction to make him want to understand what was actually going on here. Started as a content creator on Twitter. Brought the engineering side in later. Eventually went all in. At Somnia, he works in Developer Relations: technical communication with partner projects, supporting builders in the community, helping hackathon participants, writing docs, and building tools for internal and external use. Day to day sits across both Engineering and Ecosystem. Outside of work: coursework, evenings by the sea with his girlfriend, and Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Story-driven games are his way to reset.
