Our entrance into Lean Ethereum was our way to help in Ethereum's transition to post-quantum cryptography. Because of the rapidly shrinking Q-day estimates, the post-quantum migration has become more urgent. We feel moving to the Beacon Chain is the logical next step.

The idea is that ethlambda can run in either Lean mode or Beacon mode. To make that possible, we're building the client on a shared base and modularizing the differences. Over the upcoming forks, those differences will keep shrinking.

The code and instructions on how to run are available in this branch: github.com/lambdaclass/ethla… We'll keep pushing the limits on post-quantum scalability, even during the transition from Beacon to Lean Chain.

This branch is going to be merged into main soon, and future ethlambda releases will include the new Beacon Chain functionality.
