The reasons we fell in love with Firefox years ago are still here and I’m really optimistic about how much progress we’ve made with great new features and improvements to provide users a best in class browser without compromises.
Today we're rolling out the new Firefox design.
Firefox 157 drops today, bringing back Compact Mode, this time with its own dedicated setting.
During early testing many of you shared that you didn’t want to lose density in the new design. That feedback directly impacted this release. 1/3

Also in 157: design refinements that include softer tab shapes, updated icons balanced for light and dark themes, and a refreshed color palette inspired by the ‘fire’ in Firefox. 2/3

People filing bugs and sharing their thoughts as the design refresh came to life helped shape what you see today, so a big thank you to our community.

We’ve modernized the look and feel, added themes, wallpapers and widgets, and we’re (re)introducing functional features to make the most out of the space you have.
We've always believed that a browser should work around how you use the web, and this release pushes that further. 3/4
