Tracey's stated rationale for eagerly publishing this woman's name has shifted. Before publication, it was about newsworthiness (ie, the info is worthwhile in itself) to a weird kind of civic duty that justifies publishing the name and then immediately deleting it.
"Reporting" and he "identified" Jane Doe from a fake aggregator via Twitter screenshot that could've been debunked in five minutes of due diligence to name a woman who was in HS when Jane Doe began at Cornell. His abysmal standards couldn’t be lower and even then he falls short.
Someone described as a "CNN Creator" put out this video claiming I called for the "doxxing" of Jane Doe, and now a nationwide movement has been sparked against me. I NEVER CALLED FOR "DOXXING." CNN APPARENTLY OPPOSES WHAT IS CALLED "REPORTING" ON CLAIMANTS IN CIVIL PROCEEDINGS
So desperate to expose this woman’s identity after handwringing about his pains to “verify” it that he fell for a hoaxed court filings website registered one day after the case was filed and lied that it was leaked by the court. What a pathetic freak.
At this point, I am not going to dwell on Jane Doe's identity any more than is necessary.
Unfortunately she had to be identified, for reasons of public interest: to erode the fallacious premise that anyone who ever claims any sort of victimhood -- no matter how unvetted, and no matter the countervailing evidence -- is entitled to permanent anonymity via specious judicial decree. And thereafter enabled by a compliant, ideologically-captive media.
But please do not harass her, her family, or anyone else associated with her. I'm serious. I wish her no harm. I feel bad for her in a way.
Yes, I know the seven guys have been brutally harassed and faced awful consequences.
I primarily blame the sleazebag plaintiff's lawyers for this debacle of an outcome.
Sure, Jane Doe has agency in the matter.
But I don't wish to impugn her personally.
I honestly wish her the best.
I don't think this should define the rest of her life.

NAOMI KLIEIN to SAM ALTMAN:
"...you ingested the entire written output of human civilization without consent, without compensation and without credit to build a system whose primary commercial application is eliminating the jobs of the people whose work you consumed.
You are not 'liberating human creativity' -- you are strip-mining it and selling it back at a markup while calling the theft 'training data'."
New Past Lives: Around 600 CE, a man died and was buried near the city of Verona in northern Italy. He had led an interesting life, including a migration from present-day Hungary. Most intriguing of all, his right hand had been amputated and replaced with a knife prosthesis.
My grandma calls me with a panicked tone in her voice and begins, "baby, please, I cannot get ahold of anyone" I am silent, anything can happen now, "what is that name of that bread?" Croissant, I reply. "Thank you, baby!!!" I am hung up on.
