🚀✨ Cosmic Actions at Sage International School! 🌌 The Homi Lab organised a fun-filled activity “Cosmic Actions”, where students brought the fascinating world of space to life! 🌙🪐

Indonesia’s Mount Anak Krakatau has erupted again, sending lava fountains, explosive sounds and volcanic ash into the surrounding airspace. The ash has reportedly disrupted the country’s aviation network, with 1,558 flights delayed and around 170,000 passengers affected. Volcanic ash is far more dangerous than ordinary dust. Tiny particles can enter aircraft engines, damage components, reduce visibility and interfere with critical systems. Authorities have therefore suspended operations at eight airports, including Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta, while schools in Jakarta have shifted online. Anak Krakatau is especially concerning because of its history. In 2018, a flank collapse triggered a tsunami that killed 429 people. Authorities say there is no tsunami threat from the latest eruptions, but activity and ash movement are being closely monitored.
