joined @mintlify a few weeks ago and this is my favourite thing i've shipped so far: making our source mode editor properly collaborative with the wysiwyg editor. i also shipped autocompletion and hover docs in source mode. live now on app.mintlify.com!

previously, visual/wysiwyg mode already had live collaboration; every change made by any collaborator was a transaction that was synced to you in real time, and vice versa, carets included. however, source mode was not a part of this: it instead kept a local mdx draft that synced on a debounce, so any invalid changes blocked the entire page, other people's changes could only sync when you stopped typing, and you also couldn't see each other's cursors. now, every edit in source mode becomes a transaction on the same shared document in visual mode. this is achieved by mapping every character of mdx to its corresponding spot in the visual document, re-parsing only parts of the document that you are editing, holding syntactically incorrect changes locally, and fitting any collaborative edits around those changes. the mapping also allows carets to be shown collaboratively across formats!

I've been burning an insane amount of tokens on the editor. it's really good software now. try it out on our dashboard or in the new desktop app!

been having an issue on opencode (not sure if it's a model specific issue?) where it'll say "let me do x", "let me do y", and then it just doesn't do it? anyone else run into this? @opencode

i needed to collect some receipts for a reimbursement; rather than wasting the 15 long mins of collecting them myself, i prompted claude for 3 short hours to do it
