ai has exposed endemic narcissism, beautifully the 'being' is the most important part, not the doing or the result lifestyle artists who have no identity but 'artist', lifestyle programmers who have no identity but 'programmer' fulfilling all the hallmarks, except doing
vibecoders fuck off and go to hell if you use generative AI to program for you, you're not a programmer

oh man this is exactly what I was talking about this but for games it would take much more work but it would be so so worth it

came across this video of some popular pre AI era educational creator teaching others how to build in the AI era makes me sad to see that even he doesn't understand the powers of the frontier models and is teaching others already limiting ways to work with AI. even worse is people in comments agreeing with his methods from what i've seen so far, there are very few traditional devs who can understand how to truly use the frontier models to their best potential rest are still hard stuck into their traditional thinking ways and timelines you need to be very ambitious and work with the belief that anything is possible when working with AI

Usefulness: 10/10 Ease of Explaining the Usefulness: 1/10 As i plan my videos talking about Dots, i'm confronted with so many challenges. I'm trying to think about how to explain this agent but there are SOOOO MANY LAYERS. It's very hard to explain to someone, unless they are technical. Almost noone knows what a "vm" is. And when you say the agent has a computer they don't understand why that's useful or interesting... Also the agent can spin up Codex Sessions! that's awesome!!...... if you 1. know what Codex is 2. know what a session is 3. know why codex is useful One of the hardest parts about agents right now is EXPLAINING them. Every little feature, every layer, makes it much harder. But that's what makes educational content fun i guess.
Your dot is the ultimate computer use orchestrator You can have it monitor and use multiple apps in parallel running on its computer or yours! It’s crazy

such an insightful post on making games with ai the one shot games might look cool as demos but making something people would actually want to play takes a lot of time, effort and iteration
As a personal side project, I've been prototyping a video game. As a former games founder, the process of making a game is deeply satisfying and creative, don't outsource that to AI. Use AI to work with you to bring your vision to life. Here's how I'm trying it:

players should be able to play a game in the art style they want this is very doable if the scope of assets for a game isn't too big

axies look super cute in pixel art working on a new experiment which led me to convert few axies from the 2d axie mixer into a pixelated code based version would you want to play around with these pixel art axies too?

why a code-based pixel mixer is really good: - always crisp: no blur or shimmer at any size. - one drawing, every colour: all colour variants and era looks come from a palette swap. - tiny: the whole mixer could fit in a few mb. - runs anywhere: web, game engine, server, mobile. - fast: thousands of axies or sprite sheets rendered in minutes. - new animations are quick: they're keyed in code, work for every axie at once, and preview in seconds. - easy to edit: a fix is one line of text, tracked and reviewable like code. ai-ready: ai models can read, fix and create parts and animations.

putting melon into action lets see how well of a morning paper i get oh btw its also working on 4 other blender tasks autonomously too
created my dots bot by @OpenAI for now i only have access on web this is literally everything I imagined a personal assistant would be so so much better than grok bot or muse purely because of how much access and context it has on how i work also helps having a good model

DOTS is way way better than anything else thats available a normal consumer might not feel much difference but power users of codex and chatgpt can tell how valuable it is within 30 mins of using it
