Midnight, a privacy-focused blockchain, has seen its token rise for eight days in a row.
Its CTO, Sebastien Guillemot, says the upcoming v8 release will let developers build private smart contracts (apps that run on the blockchain) and create private custom tokens.
He also said v9 could arrive later this year. It's a "composability" upgrade, meaning it would help different contracts work together. A Node 1.0.4 update is also expected soon.
