"I don't like a thing" is a purely personal opinion. You don't like something, who's to tell you that you're wrong? Everyone. Apparently, everyone.

With his father dead, mother dying, and 5 siblings to look after on a brutal colony world, John Cole has no choice but to fake his age and join the United Coalition Army at the age of 17. If he wants to save his family from starvation or separation, he'll need that sweet signing bonus money.

It's been years since I watched it and I had forgotten how good it was. If Rambo was portrayed by any other actor, the movie would have gotten a best actor and supporting actor nod. Stallone and Dennehy were masterful.

I only want to see myself in games insomuch as the protagonist I'm playing is making the right decisions and the game isn't shoehorning in some moral dilemma to make everyone shades of gray. Commander Shepherd or Lara Croft I don't care, just give me a hero.
If I got to be in a video game I'd want them to make me hotter and more badass than I am in real life with better hair and some battle scars because.... Why not? I don't see what's controversial about thinking video game characters of both genders should be (mostly) hot.

Antoine Fuqua is, somehow, one of the most underrated directors while at the same time, is a generational talent. He's so good. I wish he got to do more.

We need a live action Mulan story with @MingNa playing Mulan where she goes on a John Wick style rampage.

In a future where the Earth is endangered by megalomaniacal AI, killer bugs, and a psychic alien menace, soldiers use special animals captured through spheres they call "Pals" to fight the enemy from their super destroyers. Welcome to Helldivers 2: Pal edition. I need to ride a Broncherry into battle while a Chillet has my back.

Hey @Fat_Electrician Thank you for not letting AI write your scripts. I'm sick of existing YouTubers switching over to AI and it's OBVIOUS every single time. You're a fantastic, hilarious writer. Keep up the good work. Effing Italian meat mafia.

I may have to do this.
Baen Books Establishes New Writing Award Named in Honor of David A. Drake Riverdale, New York, July 2026—Baen Books is pleased to announce its newest short story award, the David A. Drake Memorial Award. As with the two current writing awards sponsored by Baen—the Jim Baen Memorial Award and the Baen Fantasy Adventure Award—the "Drake" will seek to find new writing talent and will reward winners with professional publication contracts for their stories as well as a lovely trophy. In the spirit of military science fiction and fantasy written by David Drake, especially the Hammers Slammers and RCN/Lieutenant Leary series, the contest will seek engaging stories with military themes. David A. Drake (24 September 1945–10 December 2023) was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a lawyer, and a pioneer in the field of military science fiction and fantasy. His work often focused on the lives of ordinary soldiers, and featured a high degree of realism with respect to military life and battlefield conditions. Baen will be looking for works of great science fiction or fantasy with strong military themes central to the characters and plot, not mere window dressing. The contest is open to all forms of science fiction and fantasy. Authors do not have to be veterans or active military members to participate, but veterans and those in the military are certainly encouraged to submit; we expect their experience and knowledge will undoubtedly lend their stories a certain verisimilitude. Baen will be looking, in sum, for the kinds of stories David Drake and Jim Baen would have loved to read. Submissions of original, unpublished short stories of up to 8,000 words will be accepted from 24 September 2026 until 10 December 2026. As with Baen’s other two awards, submissions will be judged blindly by a panel of Baen Books editors and a widely published military science fiction author. Details of the submission process will be released at a later date. Baen Books plans to announce the finalists of the inaugural award in February 2027, and present the award in June at Baen Books’ Traveling Roadshow at the LibertyCon science fiction and fantasy convention in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Baen Books is an independent publisher of fantasy and science fiction, in business for over 40 years. They are known for publishing the works of New York Times best-selling authors David Weber, S.M. Stirling, Jerry Pournelle, Larry Niven, Lois McMaster Bujold, Elizabeth Moon, Mercedes Lackey, John Ringo, and many others. Baen is distributed by Simon & Schuster. If you want to write an action show with a kick ass protagonist, don't spend 15 minutes of every hour having long conversations between side characters about emotions and feelings. Looking at you, Reacher.

Every second of this entire show so far is cringe. It's a soulless, heartless, hateful depiction of Green Lantern. Hal is middle aged, disillusioned retard #4051. There's nothing clever. If you didn't tell me over and over that this miserable retard is Hal Jordan I wouldn't see it.
Lanterns Cast and Writer Praise John Stewart’s Mother as a “Superhero Without the Cape” “That’s her getting her power back. She is a Jill of all Trades, just like so many mothers are. To me, when I read this episode, this is a love letter to the unsung hero of the mother. And especially Black mothers and making the possible out of the impossible. She is the superhero without the cape. The biggest thing is her deciding to, in that moment, take the power back for her and her family.” -Jasmine Cephas Jones
