'Twas the night before The Update, when all through the flat, Not a creep was stirring, not even a rat;
The posters were hung by the sinner with care, In hopes that St. Yoshi soon would be there;
The chudlings were nestled all snug in their beds; While visions of Shiv nerfs danced in their heads;
When out at Valve HQ, there was a clatter, And posted on Twitter was a big pizza platter;
Away to my desktop I flew like a flash, And boot up my PC to download the patch;
When what to my wondering eyes did appear, my launch was hit with "error: wait another year";
I wander into the Atrium and look with amaze, As I peer out the window to spot a green sleigh;
With a green dino, so small and so free, I knew in a moment he must be St. Yoshi;
More rapid than gooners, his developers came, And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name: "Now, IceFrog! now, Hopoo! now Santos and Zorin! On, Steve! on, Bradley! on, Dunn and Maren!";
So up to the housetop the devlopers they flew with the sleigh, full of new characters, and St. Yoshi too;
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof, The prancing and dancing of each of Silver's hooves;
Down the chimney St. Yoshi shouts "Ho Ho!" equipped with a feather to tickle my nose.;
A bundle of reskins he had flung on his back, And he looked like a modder had just uploaded a pack;
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, And filled all the patchnotes and left with a smirk;
And laying both his paws aside of his nose, And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave them a holler, And locked them back in their chains and collars;
But I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight— “Happy Patch Day to all, and to all a good night!”
