After what happened in Tennessee this week, I want to ask you to examine your conscience about capital punishment. Not your political side. Not a quick emotional reaction. Your conscience. The state attempted to execute Christa Pike by lethal injection. She was convicted of a horrific murder. After two doses of the drug, she remained alive and was taken to a hospital. None of that makes the question morally simple. Do you believe executions truly make society safer? Do you believe they are necessary for justice? Or have we come to think that killing even the great criminals among us is something to be satisfied by? Be honest with yourself. There is danger in growing comfortable with another person’s death, even when that person has done something monstrous. It does not heal a victim’s family. It does not restore the dead. And it can poison our moral judgment. In 2025, executions were carried out in only 17 countries worldwide, not counting the hidden numbers in China. Look at governments most eager to execute: Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, North Korea, and others. Is that the company we want to keep when speaking of justice? The United States recorded more than 20,000 homicides in 2024, a rate near six per 100,000 people. The European Union, where every member has abolished the death penalty, recorded about 3,930 intentional homicides in 2023, under one per 100,000. That does not prove abolition causes less murder. It does show that killing prisoners is not necessary for a society to be safe. The National Research Council found that existing research cannot tell us whether the death penalty deters murder more than long imprisonment. The idea that people about to commit murder calmly decide not to because they may someday be executed is not established by the evidence. “But it is in the Bible.” Yes, the Bible contains capital punishment. It also gives us the crucified Lord. Christ tells us to put away the sword, to love our enemies, and to leave vengeance to God. Scripture recognizes the state’s authority to punish crime. But Christians are not called simply to reproduce every ancient civil penalty in a society that can securely imprison its most dangerous offenders. None of this excuses murder or diminishes the suffering of victims and their families. They deserve justice, care, truth, and to be remembered. But when a person can safely be kept in prison for life, why take away every remaining possibility of repentance, faith, and even some small good done from within a prison cell? We have the capacity to protect society without killing prisoners. To be pro-life must include refusing to kill even the great criminals among us when it is not necessary. A life sentence protects society and leaves room for God to work. That should matter to Christians.

I got next to nothing out of high school or college English. I went in, already a voracious reader, managed to resist their attempts to make me hate books by analyzing "classics" to death, and everything I've accomplished as a writer has been because I was a reader first. Honestly that includes even the most elementary levels of grammar and spelling, because I went to a poor rural California public school with a bunch of illiterates and Spanish speakers (literally, only half my 8th grade class spoke English and half of those could read). Everything was aimed at the lowest common denominator so the handful of smart kids were just bored out of our minds. Then I went to high school and had four different English classes. One of which was actually okay, but again, I didn't really learn anything as it was the standard for the time, take a story and analyze every single line for hidden meaning like you're cosplaying Sigmund Freud. Except that teacher was cool when it came to letting us read whatever we wanted outside of the suggested curricula, which was no problem for a kid who took stacks of books home from the library. (though at the time I was on a Dragon Lance/Forgotten Realms kick so she finally banned me from using any more of those). Thank you Mrs. Silva! I take it back. I had one other cool English teacher in high school. And that was just because Mr. Roderick didn't give a crap what the smart kids did, as most of the kids in that one were dumb as shit, which made the in class reading of Shakespeare hilarious. (seriously, try a live reading of MacBeth with everyone playing parts where half the class has an IQ around 80. I played MacBeth, not because I'm a good actor, but because I didn't have to sound the words out!) Then my mandatory college English classes were a gigantic waste of time and money. It was like effort was made to make us stupider and worse at writing. Both of them were taught by grad students, one of whom was a Chinese national who barely spoke English... Make that make sense. The Persuasive Writing class business majors was required to take was quite possibly the dumbest thing ever, and I spent the entire time fucking with that liberal grad student because whatever his position was on whatever the controversial topic was we were supposed to write a persuasive essay about, I went the rabid polar opposite. I think I got a C in that class, which considering I've gone on to write a bunch of persuasive articles that have gone mega viral over the years and a bestselling nonfiction book, that's funny. All my success as a writer has been from either ignoring my mandatory English education or doing the opposite of what I was taught.

I am not a politician. I am not an influencer. I am not here to manage your feelings or split the difference with people who mutilate children. They wanted me to force shots I knew violated ethics, to affirm a delusion that requires pharmacological castration and surgical mutilation of minors, and to shill for a system that treats patients as revenue streams. I refused. I filed the only physician-led New York Supreme Court lawsuit exposing what they were doing to children. I wrote legislation to criminalize the butchers. I published one of the first peer-reviewed papers calling the COVID injections what they are: products of gain-of-function research, a biological weapon dressed up as a miracle. I paid for it in reputation, income, threats, slander, and isolation. I would do it again tomorrow. That is not heroism. That is the minimum. That is the least expectation of a doctor. The inversion you see currently, men calling themselves women, doctors cutting healthy children, governments treating dissent as disease, is not random cultural drift. It is judgment. History will not be kind, and neither will I. Abortion is murder. Dumping a newborn in the trash is murder. There is no “complexity” that turns a human being into medical waste. The people who perform it, fund it, and celebrate it have forfeited any claim to moral seriousness. Vaccines are not sacred, they are posion. The COVID shots were calculated products of a captured apparatus; they caused myocarditis, clots, neurological injury, sterilization, and death while the profession looked the other way because liability had been stripped and careers depended on compliance. We were taught nothing about vaccines in medical school, then ordered to defend them to the death. That is a cult, not science. The explosion of pediatric disease did not appear from nowhere. They came from the vaccine schedule. Medicine as an institution has attracted some of the most narcissistic, incurious, greedy, and power-hungry people in the country. I have watched them take delight in control, deny what is in front of their eyes, and then demand you trust the experts. I am one of the experts they told you to trust. I left. Most of them stayed and cashed the checks. There are no excuses coming that will wash this off. Greed, pride, willful ignorance, and cowardice are not mitigating factors. They are the indictment. The political system is a scam. Voting for the slightly less evil option while the machine continues to sterilize children, flood the country, and medicalize every human problem is not courage. It is participation. Bad leaders are judgment. This does not end until we turn back to God. America will be a Christian nation in substance or it will burn. I will not vote for anyone whose life and fruit do not show they fear the Lord. Compromise with baby-killing, child-transing, and forced medicalization is finished. Compromise with fraud is over. Compromise with evil is done

If you meet a man who enjoys museums, reading for fun, or engaging with the arts in any manner then there's an 80 to 90% chance he leans to the left politically. The "cultured right" is a minority. If it doesn't earn money or reduce your risk of heart disease then who cares?
