I just moved my Codex / Claude Code agents from local to my linux VPS. This is one of the biggest 10x dev upgrades I’ve made. Heres why you should TOO, and HOW: 1. Performance -This is the biggest one, my mac would constantly be overloaded. Work trees, multiple codex / Claude sessions, APIs. -Now I SSH into the VPS and run everything there. All my mac does is display. -All the processing and work now happens on my VPS, 1. Cost, -Instead of going to buy a £3k+ Mac just so i can run more Agentic workflows, I just rent serious Linux compute monthly, that can easily scale. - I bought 12 AMD vCPU / 24GB RAM. This is enough to run agents, builds, APIs, tmux sessions, and dev servers without any issues. -Note that prices have 2.5x in last two months, so quicker you lock in, the better. 3. Persistence, -This is the underrated part. When my Mac dies, closes, disconnects, Codex just keeps running. Smoothly too. -Tmux + SSH means Codex can continue on the VPS while my laptop is off. 4. Cleaner workflow, -Mac ->SSH / Remote -VPS ->Codex, Claude, builds, tests, APIs -Cmux ->manage the agent sessions -GitHub ->source of truth -Production ->separate protected deploy target 5. Setup is simple You can literally just ask codex to do it for you, its that simple. 1.Buy a Linux VPS/dedicated box. 2.Use Ubuntu 24.04. 3.Add your SSH key. 4.SSH from your Mac. 5.Install git/node/pnpm/docker/tmux/cmux. 6.Clone your repo on the VPS. 7.Use VS Code Remote SSH or Codex remote connection. 8.Run Codex / Claude Code inside the VPS Forward ports for localhost testing. Codex app works fine, VS Code, but CMUX is the best one for this typa workflow.

Here me out. Given OpenAI complete U-Turn against its base. Cutting our limits. Slow Models. Prioritising grandmas with “Dots” All Anthropic, XAI, Google has to do is Keep limits. Raise Limits. And they win. Because after 28th October. Why would anyone keep paying OpenAI? Models are already extremely capable. Difference going forward would be negligible.

No more Codex resets. Our plans slashed in half. Eu + Uk cant even use dots. Sol 6.1 takes about a year for a response. Astra nerfed. I mean dam, OpenAI on a generational run to the bottom.

Downfall of OpenAI in the last few days, must be studied. Abandons developers, for normies, who couldn’t care less other than get their emails checked. We never asked for “Dots” We never wanted unlimited usage for it. We never wanted our plans slashed because of it. Diabolical.

For so long, we used to absolutely HATE on Anthropic, for the way they handled Claude’s Usage limits. But today OPENAI, who literally was also clowning on Anthropic. Just topped it all. 50% reduction in 200$ Pro subs. But wait its actually 75% in TOTAL. Wtf? Today we will see the new 500$ one, and it will literally just be the 20x sub from before😭 Man, i never thought id say this but, some how ANTHROPIC, are the good guys?

OpenAI devDay marks their own DOWNFALL. They literally been hyping this up for weeks. I was gonna buy the new 500$ plan. But now no. Why would we pay, if its literally just the existing 20x plan, that barely lasts a day anyway? NOBODY CARES WHAT YOU OFFER, if your loyal customers who have helped build your models, are treated like trash. Surely this isn’t legal? If we bought knowing it was 20x Wheres our refund?

This is the worse thing OpenAI have done. Ever. The 200$ 20x plan literally only lasted 1-2 days. Now its been HALVED??? i bought Claude 5x and it lasts 10x longer than the Pro 20x sub anyways? But dont worry guys, WE WILL GIVE A GROK BOT KNOCK OFF? whats the saying? YOU WILL OWN NOTHING AND BE HAPPY? There are still clowns that believe this guy has good intentions. Block them. Im back and we all must come together. If we are refund, their IPO doesnt look so pleasant.
