Today we're announcing our biggest hackathon series yet. Prizes worth ₹1 crore, and the top students get fast tracked to interviews for Amazon internships and full time roles.
@WeMakeDevs, in collaboration with @awscloud, is running Bharat Builds from September to December 2026.
I've spent years around students who've done the courses and watched the tutorials and still haven't shipped anything. That was me too, early on. What changed it for me wasn't more content, it was sitting in a room with people who knew more than me and having something due. So that's what we're putting together.
Each stop, you build alongside @awsdevelopers. You leave with a project worth showing, skills you actually use, and people worth knowing. AWS Builder Center is the resource hub making this possible, with 900+ courses, hands-on labs, exam prep, cloud credits, and certification vouchers for students.
Six cities, starting with Bengaluru in September. The rest get announced as we go. Take part solo or in a team of up to four.
Every event also runs fully online, so you can join from anywhere in India, same AWS experts, judging and prizes.

A day of learning about MCPs and agent harnesses turned into a working project in San Francisco 🚀
At the Agent Harness Hackathon, Eric and his team built an app that helps people with rejected insurance claims by drafting an appeal statement for them. The user can review it and send it directly by email to the insurance company, a doctor, or someone who can help them with the process.
Big thanks to @truefoundry, @QodoAI, Bright Data and @OpenAI for supporting the Agent Harness Hackathon and giving builders the tools and resources to learn, experiment, and ship their projects.

This was a really cool project submitted for our hackathon with AWS!
The Ship It track winner at First Commit, the first hackathon of the Bharat Builds Tour, is Beacon Night Shift! 🏆
Built solo over a weekend, Beacon Night Shift investigates AWS outages, proposes fixes, and lets engineers approve them by voice. It verifies recovery through CloudWatch and can fix the same issue next time under a specific, time-limited approval, then send a morning update.
Next up is Environmental Hacks, our second hackathon, running online across India from October 8–11, with a Build Day at DTU, Delhi, on October 10. Build solutions to environmental challenges and compete for ₹20 lakh in prizes.

Observability wasn’t just something we talked about at Zero Downtime. Builders actually put it to work in their projects.
Teams used SigNoz to monitor self-healing agents, track metrics and data freshness, understand where agents were running or failing, and get notified when something went wrong. Projects included RAI, a risk assessment product for solar contractors, along with a self-healing agent and a fully automated company built around AI agents.
Goutham Karthi from SigNoz also spent the day with builders as they experimented with these ideas and found different ways to bring observability into what they were building.
Big shoutout to @SignozHQ, @tweetsbyport, and Bright Data for supporting Zero Downtime and helping bring the developer community together in San Francisco.
