🚨 Greek police have arrested 17 people over the #FXO #crypto pyramid, nine of them military personnel. The scheme promised to double deposits in 50 days through "AI-driven crypto trading", paying early entrants out of new entrants' money. At least 10,000 people were drawn in and more than $8M passed through it. Two of the alleged organisers are said to be non-commissioned officers. Searches in Katerini, Thessaloniki, Larissa, Patras and on an island in the Dodecanese turned up €295,090 in cash, 32 phones, 28 computers and a banknote counter.

The #hacker who took $3.8M from #NEAR Intents has returned all of it. The #USDT left a treasury contract on #BNB Chain on 30 September and 1 October. The protocol paused operations on 11 networks, said the suspected exploiter had been identified and gave him 48 hours to return the funds. The money came back in time and in full. In an on-chain message the sender admitted he had been wrong and urged NEAR to run a bug bounty. The investigation has been closed.

Miracles do happen: $3.8M stolen from NEAR Intents, $3.8M returned. After Bitget, Duelbits and MetaMask, a happy ending for once. Usually, stolen funds go straight to bridges and mixers - and that's exactly where we keep watching.
The funds from the $3.8M NEAR Intents hack were sent back in full. We are stopping the investigation. Please use bug bounties instead of disrupting the services.

#A7 built something more sophisticated than a single sanctions-evasion company: a global network of hundreds of front companies, banks, crypto infrastructure, and a ruble-backed stablecoin that processed at least $179.1 billion. Now #FinCEN wants #US financial institutions to cut off transactions involving the network’s so-called Sub-Agents, while keeping the full list of those companies behind a secure portal. The proposed rule reveals how Washington is targeting the entire financial architecture that allows Russian money to move through seemingly ordinary businesses. kytme.com/blog/the-us-declar…

❗ Utexo will launch #USDT on #Bitcoin in October, having received a commercial licence from Tether to issue the #stablecoin. The issuance is built on the RGB protocol: transfer details stay with the counterparties, and only a proof of ownership anchored to a UTXO reaches the public ledger. Promised use cases are private USDT transfers, direct BTC/USDT swaps without an exchange, and loans against native BTC — no wrappers like #WBTC. Freezing is not addressed in the announcement: on #Ethereum and #Tron, #Tether blocks USDT by address in the contract.

❌ #Near Intents lost over $3.8 million in a hot wallet #exploit. The funds were moved through the BSC network to #KuCoin, then converted into #BTC via a cross-chain bridge. #hack
Earlier today NEAR Intents services were stopped after a security incident was detected. The incident was caused by a bug in the Omni deposit and withdrawal infrastructure interaction with NEAR Intents smart contract. The preliminary report indicates the total loss of approximately $3.8M. These funds will be compensated in full. The contract-side vulnerability has been patched. The operations of the NEAR Intents and near(.)com are expected to resume within 1h. Deposits and withdrawals on the following networks will remain unavailable for an additional ~12 hours while fixes to the Omni infrastructure are completed: BSC, Polygon, TON, Optimism, Avalanche, Stellar, Monad, LayerX, Adi, Scroll and Plasma. In case users hold any assets from these chains inside NEAR Intents (for example, in HOT wallet or on near(.)com), they will be able to swap them into other assets once NEAR Intents is back up (in ~1h). The incident has been reported to law enforcement, and we are working with security and blockchain analytics partners to trace the funds and pursue recovery. A detailed report will be shared publicly in the following days.

#BitMart has admitted insolvency, disclosing a balance deficit of around $319.5 million following its 2021 #hack. The situation worsened in 2026: the company became unprofitable, and panic among users hit its liquidity even harder. Users will be offered three options: ▫️ receive part of their funds immediately from remaining liquid assets (USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, SOL); ▫️exchange their balance for a Restitution Token and wait for the recovery of assets stolen in 2021; ▫️take a Continuum Token, backed by BitMart's illiquid assets and a share of future profits if the business relaunches. The plan must be approved by a court.

❌ According to on-chain investigator @zachxbt, the attackers behind the #Bitget #hack, allegedly linked to North Korea, have begun transferring approximately 2,700 ZEC (around $3.8 million) into Zcash's Ironwood shielded pool. In total, about 18,900 #ZEC worth roughly $28.3 million was stolen from Bitget on September 24.

A #gambling transaction is not necessarily about gambling. #FATF’s latest analysis shows how gaming platforms can become part of a much broader value-transfer network, where funds enter, barely touch the betting ecosystem, and quickly move somewhere else. For #crypto #compliance teams, the real question is no longer simply whether an address interacted with a gambling platform — it is where the money came from, where it went next, and whether that pattern makes sense for the customer. Here is how FATF’s risk indicators can be applied to on-chain fund flows. kytme.com/blog/gambling-or-m…

Anthropic's leaked IPO filing: $518B in compute commitments over 10 years, ~80% non-cancelable, plus $71B in chip debt kept off the balance sheet. If markets start pricing AI as debt-fueled, crypto feels it too. BTC still trades like a tech stock.

📉 #Bitget saw roughly $463 million in net outflows over 24 hours after resuming withdrawals that had been suspended due to last week's hack, Bloomberg reports. According to #DefiLlama, this is the largest single-day outflow from the exchange in four years of tracking. Bitget's reserves still stand at around $5.7 billion.

1/5 🚨 $351.6M left #Bitget📷's hot wallets in a single evening — the largest crypto theft of 2026. The outflows ran across seven networks at once: #Ethereum, #XRP Ledger, #Arbitrum, #Avalanche, #Optimism, #BNB📷 Chain and #Base. The exchange spotted the unauthorised transfers at 18:31 UTC, suspended withdrawals and said its $464M protection fund covers the loss. The first public estimates put the damage at $170–190M. They counted EVM chains only: another ~$158M went out in XRP and ~$7M in #TRX.

4/5 Some of it did move, and the route is visible hop by hop. 12,719.46 BNB left Bitget's hot wallet at 19:16 UTC on 24 September. The amount then travelled through a chain of wallets, shedding a part at every step: 10,710 → 5,896 → 1,889 → 550. At 08:11 the next morning, 411.73 BNB reached THORSwap and were swapped into bitcoin. Roughly 13 hours from the exchange to a cross-chain swap. On TRON the stolen TRX was swapped to USDT through SunSwap, bridged to Ethereum via USDT0 and sent down the same route. Smaller amounts went through Across, Bridgers, Chainflip and FixedFloat.

5/5 Attribution is not settled. Gracy Chen called North Korean involvement "very likely", citing IP addresses tied to VPN services associated with a North Korean group. Fund tracing found overlaps with the laundering infrastructure used after the Bybit and AFX Bridge thefts — a network not previously linked to other groups, which points to TraderTraitor. If the attribution holds, 2026 becomes the second-largest year on record for thefts attributed to North Korea, above $1B. So far about $690M in 2026 is attributed to such attacks, mostly Drift Protocol and KelpDAO. The full breakdown: kytme.com/blog/the-largest-c…
