Check out my good friend @apartovi ‘s new podcast. Success is not easy, it’s a journey.
I'm starting a podcast, "Confession," where I invite tech veterans to share their painful lessons. We all connect through shared pain. Hear founders & CEOs like Satya Nadella (Microsoft), Dara Khosrowshahi (Uber), Luana Lopes Lara (Kalshi), and others share their stories and lessons learned. Great job by the FW, charging and vehicle test teams to get this into the fleet. We do our best to listen to customers and put safety first - this is just another example. Hopefully you never need any of our safety features, but if you do - we're ready.

Imagine a car that gets safer after you buy it... wouldn't that be amazing? Oh wait, that's every Tesla.
Tesla Vision allows us to deploy airbags up to 70 milliseconds earlier if your Tesla detects an unavoidable collision This can be the difference between serious injury & walking away from a crash

Only full size truck to get both of these awards this year. Thanks for the high bar NHTSA and IIHS - Cybertruck met this very tough challenge. Safety first = Tesla
Cybertruck is extremely safe

Hey all, thanks for the birthday wishes, really super kind, esp @SenTedCruz for mentioning it. On all the comments, I want to say… there is no effort too large, no pain too high, no process too long that we aren’t willing to do to make roads safer for the world - full stop

New Model Y receives 5-star rating from Euro NCAP Highlights – Superior scores (vs legacy Model Y) in Vulnerable Road Users (pedestrians, cyclists) & Child Occupant Protection, even under stricter protocols – Improved Safety Assist performance w/ same hardware as Model 3 (tested earlier this year), but better software – Added distraction + microsleep detection – Unique in-cabin radar for direct child presence detection, alerting if a child is accidentally left alone in the rear seat

This is true in all major markets. Tesla has for a long time tried to build the car where it will be sold - hard to be true always, but also can’t accept not trying. It just makes sense from an environmental standpoint. Thanks @SawyerMerritt for pointing out facts.
Today, Trump introduced a 25% tariff on ALL vehicles not made in the United States. This tariff will go into effect on April 2nd. About 40% of all new cars sold in the US are imported, so this tariff is a big deal. This is a breakdown of where cars sold in the US are made: • Tesla: 100% U.S. • Ford: 77% U.S., 21% Canada & Mexico, 2% Other • Stellantis: 57% U.S., 39% Canada & Mexico, 4% Other • Nissan: 52% U.S., 31% Canada & Mexico, 17% Other • GM: 52% U.S., 30% Canada & Mexico, 18% Other • Toyota: 48% U.S., 27% Canada & Mexico, 25% Other • Kia: 33% U.S., 8% Canada & Mexico, 59% Other • Volkswagen: 21% U.S., 43% Canada & Mexico, 36% Other If the 25% tariff remains in place for a long period, legacy automakers will struggle to adapt quickly, leading to a significant decline in profits. The United States is the most profitable country for the auto industry. Trump said this new tariff will be permanent, so it will be interesting to see how this plays out and whether the tariff sticks around or not. (Visual graphic by @VisualCap)
