I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

I have a research idea Formulate the transformation (i.e. attention or multiple layers) in Lean or another formal verification language. Formulate the cost model (latency, and thruput - requires exact hardware & interconnect model - so easier on TPU as opposed to GPU) - and have a competent harness + LLM to search over the space to discover novel scheduling/placement algorithms. I'm assuming there's already some work in this direction (Mirage) but AFAIK it has not been publicly extensively explored. I expect like the first milestones are rediscovery of FlashAttention and etc Am I missing something or this is genuinely extremely promising?

Technology's effect on jobs changes over time In the First Industrial Revolution, handweaving had a "Golden Age" for 20 years because early machines made cheap yarn, which drove up demand for weavers. Then the powerloom came along, and handweavers became the vanguard for Luddism

should send ecg diagrams and tell it those are stock charts
Lately, I’ve become addicted to sending stock charts to 5.6 Sol and asking whether they look worth entering. It even draws support and resistance lines directly on the chart and marks potential entry and stop-loss zones.
