Hey, nice to meet you! I'm Lou and thanks to this community I went from student to web developer, speaker, and teacher within 3 years.
Follow me if you would like to see more C#, VueJS,daily developer thoughts, or dad jokes on your timeline✌️.

One of my mentees, Raissa, has started writing blog posts about what she’s learning with C#, with the goal of becoming a C# developer.
If you’re just starting out with C# (or simply curious), you should definitely check out her 'Hello World' post 👇

Hot take (apparently):
Not everything has to be written in .NET, just like not everything has to be written in JavaScript.
C# is a lovely language but that doesn't mean it's always the best solution for every single application ever

2026 for me has meant fewer speaking sessions and less travel. I swapped that for therapy and some much-needed time at home.
I don't regret it. Sometimes you have to choose yourself.

I'm planning a week in Osaka, Japan and I honestly think I'm just going to be eating for 7 days straight and that's it 🤤

A support system can be so important. Be sure you got the following three:
1. A mentor
2. A critical friend
3. A cheerleader
You can find all 3 of those in one person sometimes. You can also find it through just random people on Twitter

Going to uni today with a tote bag full of @jetbrains swag for my students.
Always so thankful for how willing JetBrains is to support me with this stuff. 💙

Nearly 2 years of being my own boss. Nearly 2 years of working completely remote as a developer and technical writer.
I regret nothing.

I let my partner block all social media until 6 PM on all my devices so that I stop doomscrolling and I regret everything 😭
