🌟 Day 3 Highlights from PyCon APAC 2024! 🐍 Our ML Engineer Afkaar wraps up his incredible journey at the conference with insightful sessions and inspiring connections. (Event website: 2024-apac.pycon.id/) 🔹 Keynote Speaker: Mariatta Wijaya: The day began with an uplifting keynote from Mrs. Mariatta Wijaya, who spoke about the Python community and how we can support each other for a better future. 🔹 Open Talks & Sessions: Afkaar attended several engaging talks, including: * Large Language Models (LLMs) * Securing Gen AI Apps from Attackers * NPU-Driven Inference * GraphQL in Python * Using Python to Leverage Learning Japanese: Presented by Takanori Suzuki, this session showcased how Python libraries like sudachipy and jaconv, along with the Ruby language, can assist in learning Japanese. While these tools are excellent for web development—such as providing pronunciation aids and Kanji word segmentation—they also highlight Python's versatility in language learning applications. 🔹 Networking: Conversation with Kwon-Han Bae: Afkaar had the opportunity to meet Kwon-Han Bae, a member of the Board of Directors of the Python Software Foundation. They discussed Solafune's contributions to open-source software, and Kwon-Han thanked us for supporting the Python community. 🔹 Lightning Talks: Before the closing ceremony, attendees participated in lightning talks on various Python-related topics. Companies like HENGGE and Chura DATA delivered impressive presentations, inspiring us to consider sharing our own projects at future events. 🔹 Reflections & Opportunities: Afkaar shared his thoughts on the event: "I regret not being able to present Solafune during the lightning talks. I wasn't fully prepared and felt nervous on stage. However, I believe that lightning talks are a great opportunity to showcase our Data Science Platform to the Python community. Presenting at such events can help increase our platform users, attract competition participants, and grow our LinkedIn following. Moving forward, attending and presenting at events like PyCon Japan 2025, PyCon APAC 2025 in Manila, PyCon Indonesia 2025, and PyCon US will be excellent opportunities to engage with the community and promote our platform." 🚀 Looking Forward: As PyCon APAC 2024 concludes, we're excited about the potential to present Solafune's Data Science Platform at upcoming conferences.
