I don’t believe that personal vendettas have a place in real good quality politics. I disagree with Donald because I don’t believe he is interested in “serve and protect”. His family is funded by Russian and authoritarian oligarchs, and he looks at the world as winners and losers.
That’d be a problem whether there’s a (D) an (R) or an (I) next to your name.
Leaders can’t see society that way.
Society is full of winners, 1 percenters, 2 percenters, smart people who want lazy jobs, rich people who got lucky, poor people who got shafted, smiling people who’ve been assaulted, traumatized, there’s good people, there’s bad people, there’s well intentioned, there’s uncontrolled, disabled, there’s artistic, autistic, ”illegal” what a terrible word, white, black, heck I might start identifying as a Bengal Tiger, Who Dey.
I’m not sure what to tell you — my Republican friends — much more than this.
I’ve had phone calls, conversations, face to faces, food, with a lot of you friends the past few weeks, reflecting on politics. You’ve all told me the same thing. “Well I didn’t vote for this.”
Chew on that for a minute.
Yes you did.
If you all voted for something different, like lower taxes, a balanced budget, healthier food, less war, a firm hand against Russia and China, stronger education, and a less corrupt government, like you’ve all told me, then show some accountability.
Go show up to your local party meeting, and tell them to do it. Go find someone to put on your ticket who will do the damn thing.
Because you don’t seem to disagree with me that this show is not what you voted for.
And when I laugh with you on the phone like your old Republican buddy of old, you all seem happy enough to take zero responsibility for the government you elected.
I couldn’t care less about party politics, and I can hold Democrats accountable for many failed promises too.
But don’t vote Red, be led by Red, then hide and say you don’t have anything to do with it.
