there’s a difference between “i’ve seen this problem before therefore i know the solution” and “i’ve seen this type of problem before therefore i know how i can approach finding a solution”

+1, every 2-3 months is a great cadence for me too. i’m going on 11 years remote and it makes a big difference to see folks and share ideas and energy in person regularly.
After several weeks of travel, onboarding, and onsites, I’m finally back home. I’m definitely a home person, but working together with friends and teammates is something I always look forward to. I think the perfect cadence is a week every 2–3 months. Not too long, but also not too short. I also recently calculated how long I’ve been working remotely, and it’s been almost 15 years! So I probably have a lot of strong opinions on this. If you go too long without meeting in person, I think it can become pretty demoralizing. At the end of the day, we’re human, and we crave that social connection.

Lots of CFB games on today, but not a lot of good games. Still, it’s fun to have football on 🏈

This is one of the reasons I built Trophy. I checked in on the Red Sox game and saw this one at an 8.8/10 Trophy Game Score, so I immediately knew it was good. Tuned in for an entertaining half-inning and now I’m back to the Sox game. 🏆
this game is going to the bottom of the ninth right now, Guardians are 1.5 games back on the White Sox so getting a win tonight would be big for them

If you’re following the MLB Wild Card race (or a fan of baseball in general), you should try Trophy. One of the reasons I built it is because I was tired of going between 2-3 different screens to get all the info that mattered to me down the stretch.

Let me know what you think! Is there anything you’re missing or anything that could be more clear? Trophy is a sports app built for sports fans, I want it to be the best place to find what you need to know 🏆

having not held/played with the iPhone Duo, my hunch is that sliding content layouts (à la Tweetie for iPad back in the day) are going to be better than a simple content-detail split view (photo credit: @viticci macstories.net/ipad/twitter-…)

if you want to try it out, you can!* it’s free with reasonable limits, and a one-time purchase to unlock unlimited favorite albums (and support me/indie software) *as long as you use Apple Music/purchased albums over Spotify. apps.apple.com/us/app/albums…
the piece of software i’m most proud of building is my music app Albums. i use the app every day and it’s perfect [to me]

(don’t let the fact it was last updated 9 months ago fool you, it’s the equivalent of fast fashion vs artisan crafted. if it needs an update, i’ll update it 😃)
