Introducing Root Reborn: a new market for optimizing TAO yield across Bittensor. Validators compete to build the best-performing subnet baskets. Successful strategies can attract more stake, so more root yield goes toward the subnets that create the most value.

OpenRoboto miners pushed @physical_int’s π0.5 model from ~55% to nearly 90% success on simulated robot tasks in under a month. On the latest Novelty Search, @openroboto explains how Bittensor’s Subnet 80 develops open robotics models through competition and tests them on real hardware. With Shift, OpenRoboto is building a decentralized network for robotics training data, rewarding contributors who capture real workplace skills using OR-S1 devices introduced in partnership with @gi_labs. Bitcoin used incentives to build the world’s largest specialized compute network. Bittensor is applying that same playbook to unite spare compute across the planet and build the world’s largest decentralized AI training network.
Just announced earlier today at @ExploitSummit in Montreal: the iota SDK and Liquid Compute. Liquid Compute is our disaggregated compute platform. It turns the long tail of global compute into capacity you can actually train on. The iota SDK powers any training workload across it, as if it were one cluster. We go to market in the coming weeks, putting the power to train in far more hands. We'll share more of what we showed on stage over the next few days. Congratulations to the team and our co-founders @WSquires and @macrocrux Register for early access: iota.macrocosmos.ai/sdk

“We need to make the Linux of AI.” @jon_durbin of @chutes_ai presented an 8B model trained across distributed gaming GPUs for roughly $6,500 in GPU rental. It runs entirely on a phone’s CPU at nearly 60 tokens per second. His full @ExploitSummit keynote explains how open-source development and decentralized training could give people control over AI from its creation to its everyday use.

This Thursday on Novelty Search :: Subnet 80 :: @openroboto OpenRoboto is building an open competition for robot intelligence on Bittensor, where miners improve shared base models and each champion becomes the next starting point. They are now expanding into real robot validation and Shift, their decentralized network for collecting real world robotics data, connecting model improvement with physical data and commercial demand. Bittensor is building toward a full-stack intelligence network that no single company or country can control. In his @ExploitSummit keynote, @const_reborn lays out the next steps towards that end state.

Introducing Gamma tokens, a proposed new economic layer for Bittensor. The ambition is to make it easier for subnets to power each other’s products and grow an open AI ecosystem that can compete with the biggest labs.
Gamma tokens would let Bittensor subnets buy services from each other using part of their emissions. @const_reborn outlined the plan at Exploit: transferable usage credits for compute, inference and other infrastructure, with access extending beyond Bittensor.

SOMA cut a prompt’s token count by 76% live, reducing the text you pay AI models to process. On the latest Novelty Search, Subnet 114 presents its compression tool for coding agents, already in early access for Copilot and Codex. The team reports ~15% lower inference costs on average across coding tasks. @say_gm_ has integrated SOMA’s open-source compressor, and Dendrite uses it in daily development. .@openroboto just built a decentralized alternative to @Figure_robot’s Index for collecting robot training data, with real-world capture hardware. Open robotics on Bittensor now has its data network to challenge the industry’s biggest labs. Bittensor is coming for physical AI.
Today we’re launching OpenRoboto Shift, opening a new chapter for OpenRoboto. Shift is a decentralized network for collecting egocentric robotics data: first-person video of real people doing real work. Only Possible on Bittensor. Explore Shift → shift.openroboto.ai/
