Search SDK extracts query-relevant passages from URLs you provide. Your agent can use those passages instead of full pages, keeping unrelated content out of the model context. Install the Search SDK Agent Skill in your coding agent: pplx.ai/srch-sdk-agent-skill

filtering to official docs and giving the agent a source-linked brief is the part that actually cuts down on invented methods

Deceptive default to credit-consuming Computer mode in the macOS app In the #Perplexity macOS app and in the browser, new sessions inside Projects default to Computer. Computer consumes credits, while standard Search does not. There is no visible app-wide or Project-level option to make Search the persistent default. This is deceptive design: it preselects the paid/credit-consuming path for ordinary queries, relies on users noticing and manually changing it every time, and creates a foreseeable risk of unintended credit usage, therefore forcing users to top-up their credits more frequently. Please add an app-wide default-mode setting, make Search the initial default, prominently label Computer as credit-consuming, and require confirmation before a user’s first Computer task or unusually expensive task. Please confirm whether this feedback has been passed to the @perplexity_ai product team. Thank you.
