Today, hundreds of people will take part in the Walk of Hope for someone they love. For Helen, that someone is her husband Toby. ๐
Toby was 50 when an MRI for severe vertigo unexpectedly revealed a brain tumour. Initially diagnosed as a low-grade glioma, a biopsy six months later revealed that it was glioblastoma, an aggressive and incurable form of brain cancer. Toby underwent radiotherapy and chemotherapy, but sadly died in July 2025, with Helen and their son Harrison by his side.
Today, Helen will walk at Chatsworth with three of her best friends, honouring Toby and raising money to help change the future for people diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Every step is for someone.
For a partner. A parent. A child. A friend. A loved one.
And every step helps support vital research into better, kinder treatments and, ultimately, a cure for all types of brain tumours.
Helen has raised more than ยฃ700 so far, and today sheโll be joined by hundreds of people who each have their own reason for walking.
