Buzzing Java argues Java's 11 original buzzwords were never marketing, they're why 30-year-old design decisions still hold up production systems today.
seriously, have you watched this fantastic talk by Java architect Ron Pressler on the principles of memory management in Java?

Timing's almost too on the nose, JDK 27 ships tomorrow, and the headline feature (compact object headers, on by default, ~20% less heap, zero code changes) is basically Simple/Robust/Portable/High-Performance in one JEP.
22 years ago: memorized Java's 11 buzzwords for an exam, forgot them by lunch.
This year I asked, what if they were never marketing? What if they're why Java still runs the systems AI hasn't replaced?
What's your answer?
Comment "Java" i will let you know my complete answer.
Something's been sitting in a folder for months.
Dec 7 it comes out.
Started because I kept hearing 11 words dismissed as "marketing" that I've spent 22 years watching hold real systems together.
More soon. #java
Dear @rapidoapp_ today we took different route as Rapido suggested route was having too many potholes. The total distance was increased by 7 km. The Rapido app increased my fare from original 268/- to 292/-.
But your driver insisted on 412/-.
So, in all either Rapido should take this responsibility or otherwise provide a feature for users o select the route in the beginning. Otherwise they will be out of the business very soon.
