Coinbase just assembles the crypto avengers with tokenized stocks
Here's the setup first. Institutional market makers ("authorized participants") buy real shares. Those shares sit with
@AlpacaHQ, a regulated broker, in a structure that's bankruptcy-remote, so if the middleman has a bad day, your claim on the share doesn't go down with it. The whole thing is supervised out of Abu Dhabi. You hold the token, you hold a real claim on a real share.
Now here's who's actually building on it.
Want to trade it?
@aeroxyz is the DEX.
Aggregators routing through it:
@1inch , 0x,
@matchaxyz ,
@KyberSwapCN ,
@CoWSwap ,
@PortalsMarket ,
@jumperapp.
Want to borrow against your solana:4aG547Y9PPAgpd8dQEMn8n87oVtFYPAP6vhqEYDHmoon instead of selling it?
@aave ,
@Morpho ,
@eulerfinance . All 3 names everyone actually uses for onchain lending, live from day one.
Want yield instead of just holding?
@beefyfinance,
@zothdotio,
@makinafi, Castar,
@centrifuge. A whole fintech layer built specifically around putting these assets to work instead of letting them sit there.
And underneath all of it sits the part that actually holds the thing together - price data. A tokenized stock is worthless as loan collateral if the lending protocol doesn't know its real, current price. Get that wrong for even a few minutes during a flash crash and the whole borrow/lend stack breaks. That job feeding accurate onchain price data is
@chainlink, and it's the only oracle in the entire map.
And there's a lot more
Splits and dividends don't even break your positions, by the way, handled through an onchain multiplier, so your balance stays put and whatever you built on top (the loan, the LP, the yield position) doesn't randomly unwind.
It's basically the
$USDC playbook again. In 2018, everyone said "who needs a dollar onchain." Now stablecoins move trillions a year and half of traditional finance quietly runs on them. Same pattern, different asset class this time.
I'm not telling you to go lever up on tokenized Tesla tomorrow. I'm telling you the infrastructure most people assumed was years away just showed up, fully formed, on day one.
