The work @mattkeller1 did at the foundation was always a reminder for what this technology could really do in the right hands. I hope Algorand and this industry as a whole can continue to deliver true value for such important use cases. Matt was one of the first people I met from Algorand and promptly bought me a beer. Next one is on me 🍻
After four years my time at @AlgoFoundation comes to an end. We did some good work in advancing the cause of blockchain-based humanitarian aid in hugely challenging parts of the world. Grateful to have had the chance to use this technology for something truly valuable.@HesabPay_

We've been quiet for a (long) while... Not gone though. The mission never changed: make Algorand data easy to understand, for everyone. We just had other builds to attend to. Today, we're back in the public space, and happy to announce the next chapter of Allo. 🧵1/5

The very first time I tried Cardano was at RareEVO. Fisherman and I were there, it was mostly a Cardano conf and we were like, I guess we should try it? 🤷 Set up a wallet, went to coinbase account, bought a little, and withdrew to wallet. Mine went through but took like two minutes?!? Fish’s …. Failed. Never arrived. Had to wait and retry. Just…. Garbage. Asked people there.. so why do you like Cardano? No one seemed particularly technical but would say it’s their favorite and it’s the best. But we couldn’t even do a simple withdrawal?! ‘..Oh, yeah, that happens sometimes…’ Pretty absurd tbh. Algorand keeps cranking and is just killer…. We have something new cooking that is a big departure for us but is still on Algorand rails (and one of the very few chains where it could even remotely work). If it gets used much it’ll be a ton of transactions too. 😎

What he said except slight more years of hand coding and "fix this, no mistakes please"
Can’t believe I coded by hand for 15 years. 15 years of memorizing syntax, Vim, Stack Overflow, broken builds, cursed dependencies, merge conflicts, and “one last bug before sleep.” All of that just to end up typing “fix this” into a chat box and watching an agent do crimes.

Good to see the shout to Silvio, Goldwasser and Rackoff for zkp, but a one-way proof based on Godel's incompleteness theorem is really breaking my brain #algofam!
Shafi Goldwasser (left), Silvio Micali (right), and Charles Rackoff devised a way to prove that a statement is true without revealing anything about why. quantamagazine.org/how-unkno…

Yo, #Algofam! If you've ever needed a way to deploy @algokit localnet to a persistent server for dev and testing, but don't to deal with the detail of setting up and tearing down the infra, here is an easy way to deploy to a GCP or AWS VM using #IaC github.com/lempira/algokit-l…

You can optionally add a domain, and there is a script to reset localnet, similar to `algokit localnet reset`, if you want to blast the data. Feature requests, general feedback, PRs welcome!

Elliptic curve cryptography is under threat from increasing qubits but also from better error correction codes. You can now make 1 virtual qubit from 4 real ones instead of 12! #postquantum
Physicists used to think that they would need a colossal quantum machine with billions of qubits to run Shor’s algorithm, which can factor huge numbers quickly. Two new announcements have dropped the estimate to just tens or hundreds of thousands of qubits. quantamagazine.org/new-advan…

Man, I really hope Dan Melcher from Silicon Valley plays Dario Amodei in his eventual biopic. Similarity is uncanny!

Google Research’s new article on quantum risk in crypto is a strong signal: the move to PQC needs to start now, and #Algorand is leading. On a personal note, I was genuinely surprised to see @Algorand and my team in the paper. Proud. @giuliopizzini, @nullun, and Lakin!

Hi #algofam, here is something I built during my time on the AlgoKit team to help understand the puya compiler better. Write Python, hit compile, and watch your code transform through every stage of the Puya compiler pipeline -- from AST to TEAL.

The diff view is a nice feature that selects two adjacent pipeline stages & sees exactly what changed in each stage. Switch between compiler versions to compare how your contract compiles across Puya releases. Tracks op count, program size, and compile time.

So happy about this!
Algorand protocol development and ecosystem growth are now under one roof. Algorand Foundation and Algorand Technologies ( @Algorand ) have come to a strategic agreement to unify ecosystem operations. This agreement creates a unified powerhouse for blockchain innovation here in the United States and positions Algorand as the chain that enables financial empowerment at scale.

I’ve traveled the globe to tell people about Algorand, but getting to do it in Washington, D.C. alongside a who’s-who of blockchain businesses and with senior lawmakers and federal agency heads in the room gives one a special sense of cautiously optimistic bullishness.

Remote work has its perks but there is nothing like meeting the team in person. Ideas flow more easily. Excited for what's in store for #algokit and what great apps we can help enable in 2026. The team mtg looked something like this. Just missing 1 person who was in the comp.
