I can't begin to explain how angry this is making me.
For years anyone affiliated with Man City just got to pretend they're not backed by a nation state; and as as soon as this got put in question officially the said nation state is resorting to blackmailing the British public.

UK government officials are equally frustrated by the conduct of UAE counterparts and believe some in the Gulf nation must have been aware of the extent of @ManCity’s wrongdoing, even while insisting there was nothing untoward.
