gh stack v0.1.1 is here 🥞 - use `add` to start a stack from anywhere, no need to `init` separately - `checkout` will pull down an associated stack from a branch - improved skill file, more keyboard shortcuts, prints full PR urls, and more! github.com/github/gh-stack/r…

gh --attach 📸
Sometimes it's easier to show than tell. We're sure this update will help with that. 👀 GitHub CLI now has a repeatable --attach flag that uploads a local image or video. Reference it inline in an issue, pull request, or comment body. Available now to all users on GitHub across all plans. 🎉 github.blog/changelog/2026-0…

Big things are coming to PRs! 👀
I spend an embarrassing amount of PR time scrolling through the whole timeline to work out what's actually being asked of me. So here's a peek at something we've been trying on our own PRs. Comments get a lot more room, what needs doing next is up top, and the timeline is a summary off to the side. It's much faster, too. What would you want out of this page?

I posted in March and April about the steps we’re taking to make GitHub more reliable. The work is still underway. Here is an update: github.blog/news-insights/co…

When the context window fills up and the model has to summarize
I met the love of my life in the San Francisco Corgi Cafe. Additionally, I’m leaving OpenAI to join Anthropic! Reverse that. I’m leaving Anthropic to join OpenAI! Got rejected by YC. Just got accepted to YC. Taste is the moat. I’m working on RL environments. Actually I’m working on data. No, scratch that, I’m working on personalizable AI for science and enterprise. Taste is the moat. I spent 10 million dollars on Claude tokens last month. I built nothing. There’s nothing to build oh my God what do I build where’s my taste taste isn’t the moat wait taste is the moat taste is the moat taste is the moat taste

*This only applies to stack rebases right now, but we may roll out more broadly to all rebases if there's enough interest!

A stack rebase runs a cascading rebase across all of your branches, starting with a rebase onto the tip of the latest main. It's a souped-up version of the "update branch" button you see in regular PRs
