dot seems like a pretty good fit for a dedicated Mac for iOS and macOS development, doesn’t it?
I’d love more visibility into what it’s doing while it works, but if that’s coming, this could be a compelling OpenClaw-light.
I’m not sure how I’m supposed to read this.
- I’m not getting Dots because I’m in the EU?
- Or I am getting Dots because I’m on a Business plan?

Codex should have a trust-store file separate from ~/.codex/config.toml. I'm disgusted with lines like this in my sacred config file.
[projects."/Users/simonbs/Developer/coolproj"]
trust_level = "trusted"
Sign in with ChatGPT is a bigger deal than it might sound like.
We’ll see a new flood of AI-powered software by developers who weren’t willing to take the risk of designing a business model that covers token costs.

Unless OpenAI gives me a compelling reason not to on Tuesday, which I think is very likely, I think it’s time to buy a Mac mini and go all-in on remote agents running on self-hosted hardware.
We all need to leave agents stopping when you close your laptop in 2026.
If I’m buying a Mac mini, I think the sweet spot is M6, 32 GB memory and 256 GB SSD.
Apple’s SSD prices are ridiculous, so I’d rather add a 2 TB external SSD. It should be plenty for Codex and Claude, with room to play a bit with local models too.
Okay, I hear you. 256 GB is too optimistic.
I always go for 1 TB on my daily Mac, but I figured an external SSD could make up for the tiny internal drive on a Mac mini. Only to a point, I guess. 512 GB should be the bare minimum.
