While it’s correct that gilt yields went up after Truss’ disastrous mini budget, that wasn’t the only cause of her resignation. 1. £ almost hit parity with $ 2. Pensions collapse, requiring BoE intervention 3. Mortgage rates went up 4. Her own back benchers revolted Not the same
