Vocal support for Braverman from blogger Connor Tomlinson - who would apply similar rules to British identity. So he wants Braverman banned from parliament with Kemi Badenoch + Rishi Sunak. (He regrets she would have to go but feels she'd self-sacrifice to get rid of them too).
You are only English if you have English heritage. English people happen to be white. No amount of wishful thinking or magic words will change those facts. We're not playing this game anymore. The existence of the English is the cornerstone of their claim to their country. You're not taking it away from us.

Is possession football genetic rather than cultural?! Anthony Gordon backs Tuchel on "DNA" & doubts it is something that can be taught. The Mail's sportswriter doubts its about DNA, seeing England as having the capability & resources to emulate Spain

The NYT headline suggests Cambridge has changed/abandoned the Arday inquiry focus. But the basis is its link to a Sept 21st university notice with identical brief text about the inquiry part two to the initial Sept 4th uni announcement of the inquiry nytimes.com/2026/09/25/world…

Part 2 is embryonic. There may now or later be arguments it is too broad/too narrow NYT report is claiming a dramatic change, but if a valid claim it would have been 2-3 weeks ago afirst announced. But seems mo change at all in Sept 21st notice the "abandoned" headline based on

Rishi Sunak used his voice at Lords to set some boundaries against racially exclusive ideas about who can't be British or English. My Eastern Eye column this week spots the difference between perceptions of a lack of integration & ethnonationalist grievances about too much of it

Former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak writes in the Sunday Times, challenging those seeking to promote the idea that British identity depends primarily on ancestry, DNA ethnicity and/or faith. He also advocates a civic inclusive English identity.

“For a decade, Britain’s two Brexit tribes have mostly been refighting the last referendum. They often sound happiest to carry on doing so”, writes @sundersays 🗣️ Britain needs to talk about Europe, again. Both sides of the debate will need a new script politics.co.uk/comment/2026/…

Ahead of autumn's UK-EU summit, new @BritishFuture research finds that people see Brexit as a failure and want closer EU ties. But voters are undecided about what comes next, with uncertainty about the idea of another referendum, or a return to free movement [1/3]

Cllr Sagal Abdi-Wali has lived in Camden for 35 years, arriving as a young child refugee in the early 1990s, and is now the council leader. I would hope @nadhimzahawi - born in Baghdad, to Iraqi Kurdish parents, coming to Britain as 11 - would challenge Yusuf on doing this
The front runner being foisted on the people of Holborn by Labour to replace the former Prime Minister Keir Starmer in our Parliament was born in Somalia. Do you understand what’s happening?

Its also incompetent of Zia Yusuf to begin Reform conference week with racist attack on an elected opponent who came as a child. This may now overshadow the opening of the conference, with a type of overtly racist attack that Farage has said Reform reject from BNP + now Restore

Interview clip: came to Britain (and Camden) as a child in about 1990/1991 - over 35 years ago. Would have been under 7 years old. Nobody knows yet if Labour will select her or another candidate: that should not be decided on skin, birthplace or faith
Well she seems lovely - warm personality and obviously a high achiever 👇
