I'm actually so hype for this. Not because it replaces all other models... because it can remove the ambiguity of decisioning from where it doesn't belong.
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI? I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev • 20-200x faster • 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free) • Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution

Basic graph fix and Astra be like...

Awesome, I'll wait til Tuesday then Tibo. Thanks!
We will give one banked reset for every day you don't have access to Astra on your paid ChatGPT plan, starting today. Team is moving mountains to give access as fast as we can. First one will land in ~ 3 hours. There is still time to create your account if you don't have one.

It's weird... the team at OpenAI was like "you know what would be really clever and end super well... if we all went absolutely hype online on Thursday but then didn't actually release anything." Today has been weird.

I find it pretty poor form to do a big hype cycle just to not actually release anything to the general public.

This is such an interesting question. It really captures the issue we find ourselves grappling with these days. The disparity in code is far greater now than before - there is a massive divergence that didn't exist when a baseline understanding was required to participate.
Can I ask a dumb question? If everyone is using AI to code… Does that mean we're all generating roughly the same quality of code? Or does the real advantage come from knowing what to ask for?

I would have been hype about this but honestly 4.6 has been such a letdown that I'm not sure we should expect much. There is a lot more value seemingly coming from the OpenAI subs these days.
Grok 4.7 comes out in 10 days

This makes so much sense but it'll get a lot of hate. I don't see why they would continue to prop up a competitor. It's heating up and I'm here for it!
We’re ending our partnership with Cursor following its acquisition by SpaceX. Under our proposal, Cursor’s direct access to our models would end on November 12. We know that the people most affected by this decision are the developers who rely on OpenAI models in Cursor. We care about their experience in this transition and we’re ready to go above and beyond to support them. openai.com/index/our-decisio…

Be honest. Who will dominate “Be honest. Who will dominate AI by 2030?” posts by Sunday? Same four faces. Same question. Same 180-reply pile of people naming whichever model they opened last. Zero information. Peak original thought.

Who else is in their 40s juggling work, kids, and building with 100% of their free time? It's exhausting...

This is why I am cancelling Claude sub. I have 20x and have spent just about 24 hours using CC this week... and that's 50% higher usage. Imagine in a few days how little you can get done with it.

Cursor is no longer giving complimentary Cursor Ultra plans to Supergrok Heavy users who link their account for @bot. There has been no official statement from either SpaceXAI or Cursor about this change. We dont know for sure if users who already have it are grandfathered in, but it doesn't look that way according to the billing panel as it will show it cancelling next month if you did get it. cursor.com/help/grok-bot/sup…
SuperGrok Heavy no longer comes with free Cursor Ultra. You only get Grok Bot usage now.

Anyone considering SuperGrok Heavy because you get Cursor Ultra included, you may want to rethink that, because that is no longer the case. It was a temporary promo just like the $99 a month promo was. There is no way that SuperGrok Heavy is worth $300 a month.

This is why you don’t behave like assholes to your customers... I was a long-time Cursor subscriber. I held off claiming the SuperGrok Heavy -> Cursor Ultra offer because I was waiting for my existing Cursor term to end. Then they pulled the offer and grandfathered everyone who happened to claim it earlier. That decision didn’t cost them one $200/month subscription. My businesses spend $15k–$20k/month on Cursor. We’re cancelling and moving to Claude Code + Codex. Personally, we were also planning to: • Buy another Tesla when our Model Y lease ends • Buy a Cybertruck • Install Starlink • Subscribe to SuperGrok Heavy for both me and my wife None of that is happening now. They turned what could easily have been hundreds of thousands of dollars of lifetime customer value into $0 because they decided existing paying customers were the people it was acceptable to screw over. Promotions come and go. Trust is the product. Once you destroy it, don’t be surprised when customers take the rest of their wallet with them. Good job, @elonmusk

Long-time Cursor exclusive customer (personal + both my companies). Waited for this month’s sub to end so I could grab the SuperGrok Heavy + free Ultra deal… they yanked it. Fucking around loyal customers like that is disgusting. Cancelling every SpaceX-related sub. Lost me for life... I don't support companies that treat customers this way.

Bearer of great news... or fake news? Idk about all of you but a banked reset sure hasn't found it's way to my 20x sub yet.
It's me again. I come bearing great news. First of all, we have hit 20M active users for Codex some time this week. Second of all, this is cause for celebration and during the day we will credit every Codex and ChatGPT Work user with a BANKED reset that you can use at your own leisure. And we will have some other good news later too! Now, on usage limits draining faster, while we're not seeing anything abnormal, we do take it incredibly seriously and there is an ongoing investigation. I will share if we do find anything and my below post is really a clarification on a specific pattern that we did see that I wanted to call out. Go do something amazing today.

Was ready to pay the full $300/mo for SuperGrok Heavy... then I see people locking in a year at $99/mo while I get zero promo, zero discount, nothing. I’m not becoming the guy who subsidizes everyone else’s deal. This is exactly how you lose high-intent customers.

Time to test! I'm a big Cursor fan and can say I am desperate for the hype to match reality. We shall see!
Introducing Grok 4.6. It delivers frontier intelligence and is a significant improvement over Grok 4.5 at the same price.
