It's all meep meep bang bang, how could anything go wrong? Demure yet saucy.

Gloucester, England
"Someone filled the whole Dunstable opera season with nothing but Wagner in rhyming slang Constable? No no I was playing the Theremin."

Watching another formative stand-up DVD, Eddie Izzard - Glorious which I used to own on DVD and inflict on the house and sixth form common rooms at school for maximum jam and James Mason impression points, also the eternal truth "No baboons in mime."

So because I store my CDs all in the black wallet booklets without leaflets and some of those CDs lack names on, sometimes you're guessing from context of alphabetical storage and today's listening in the car was I think by Heroin, anyhow it was early emo and very moreish.

Day in the office with friends followed by 2 free afterwork pints to celebrate one of their birthdays. Now home with a big mug of tea, biscuits and the first Robert Downey Jr Sherlock Holmes picture on the Blu-ray player. These are the good days to stick around for.

Just discovered the videos of Taylor Momsen stepping up to do the lead vocals for Soundgarden and bloody hell, she's not Chris Cornell (which is like saying any composer isn't Handel) but she's seriously really good. Anyway, enjoy and keep stepping up x. piped.video/jgwshUJNbmU?si=Hy1i…

Everyone I Know is Dying by Emily Slapper - dark, rough and gritty dealing with suicidal thoughts and actions, eating disorders, self harm and mental health but some light amongst the darkness and a great very uncomfortable read. goodreads.com/review/show/89…

Give a man a fish and he'll be a bit concerned, teach a man to fish and he'll get stroppy, shout something about "I'm just waiting quietly for my bus you weirdo, piss off and put some trousers on" and call a constable.

Also now fighting off Sunday scaries by watching Eddie Izzard: UnRepeatable, a show I taped off late night channel 4 aged 15/16 and it was transformative in terms of my sense of humour.

Having watched the motion picture last night, I discovered that the novel Fight Club has not one but two sequels in the form of comic book series and fuck me sideways the plots... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fight_…

Watching FC now knowing what one knows going into a repeat viewing, the Ed Norton Helena B-C scenes are especially interesting.

Watching Fight Club for the first time in years and years, and some fine performances of a whole lot of utterly loathsome characters, Helena B-C especially. Heavy mental health issues all over the place.

Having to cook supper for oneself again and eating it in front of the telly is a dashed shame of a comedown. Trying to replicate the restaurant experience of selecting 'frozen pizza in the air fryer' from some sort of existential menu doesn't really cut it somehow.

Home now after a fantastic few days away, cold drink some chocolate digestives and listening to Nine Inch Nails. Seeing the parents tomorrow to swap holiday photos and in the office Monday so hopefully any post -hols crash will be forestalled.
